The neighborhood

The Castro Marim region is renowned for its impressive nature reserves, such as the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, where visitors can enjoy hiking, bird watching, and exploring diverse flora and fauna. The nearby beaches, such as Praia da Alagoa and Praia Verde, are perfect for sunbathing and water sports. Castro Marim is also known for its historical landmarks, including the Castro Marim Castle, which offers stunning views of the surrounding area. The charming streets of the old village are perfect for exploring, with traditional architecture and local artisan shops.

The villa’s location makes it an excellent base for discovering the best of the Algarve and Andalusia. A short 15-minute drive brings you to the charming towns of Vila Real Santo António and Monte Gordo, with pristine beaches, local restaurants, and convenient supermarkets.

Getting around

The Castro Marim region is well-connected, making it easy to reach and explore. For travelers arriving by plane, Faro International Airport is just 45 minutes away, and Seville International Airport is 1.5 hours away. The region is served by a train line, with nearby stations at Vila Real de Santo António and Castro Marim. Car rentals are highly recommended to fully explore the area, from the picturesque Algarve beaches to the charming Spanish towns just across the border.
