The neighborhood

Porches offers a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and family-friendly activities. The Algarve coast offers stunning landscapes and beautiful beaches, with the long sandy stretch at Armação de Pêra just a 5-minute drive away.

Often described as a hidden gem, this coastal town remains relatively undiscovered compared to other Algarve destinations. Families and thrill-seekers will find two of the region’s best water parks within a 10-minute drive, as well as the popular Zoomarine park. Golf enthusiasts have plenty of options nearby, including the renowned Nick Faldo and Christy O’Connor courses, as well as other excellent choices like Pinto, Gramacho, Silves, and Penina.

For those interested in history and culture, the historic town of Silves, with its well-preserved castle and rich heritage, is just a 15-minute drive inland and well worth a visit.

Getting around

A car is recommended to explore the area fully. Lagos, with its stunning beaches, historic old town, and vibrant marina, is just a 35-minute drive away. Faro Airport is approximately 40 minutes by car, making arrivals and departures smooth and stress-free.
