For nature lovers and adventure seekers, the beautiful Serra de Monchique lies about 20 km to the north, offering unforgettable mountain biking trails through lush landscapes.

The Algarve boasts thousands of incredible beaches, some so secluded and pristine they are only accessible by boat, inviting you to explore hidden gems far from the crowds. Getting around

You can reach Carvoeiro in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and a car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train, it will take about 2 to 3 hours.

Although public transport is available and will definitely get you around, it is limited. If you plan on exploring the general Algarve area, a (hire) car is recommended. Within Carvoeiro, you don't need any special transportation. You can easily walk through the village.
