The space

You enter the house through the main entrance and take the stairs up to the apartment. The lower part of the house is not in use when the upstairs apartment is rented, ensuring a calm and private arrival. At the top of the stairs, you step directly into the kitchen corridor, which connects all areas of the apartment.

From here, you can access both the bedroom and the living space. The bedroom features a comfortable double bed, an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, and direct access to a small south-facing roof-terrace. The bright living and dining area includes a dining table and a sofa bed, making the apartment suitable for up to three guests. At the back of this space, there is a second bathroom. The living area also opens onto a south-facing roof-terrace with open views over the valley and towards the ocean, while the north side of the property faces the mountains.

The shared south-facing garden offers a 12 x 5 meter pool with steps and a constant depth of 1.60 m, shared with the guests of the annex at the back of the garden. Guests of the apartment have their own designated terrace area near the villa, with a BBQ, covered seating, and a large table, as well as two sun loungers and a hammock. Additional loungers, a dining set, and a poolside toilet and shower are also available for shared use.

The neighborhood

Quelfes is located nearby Olhão and Olhão is located next to Faro. It has a lovely and lively old centre with a rich history of traditional Portuguese culture. From here, you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options available.

Getting around

A rental car is recommended if you want to explore the larger Algarve area.
