The heated indoor pool is steps away, Praia da Falésia is 10 minutes by car, and Olhos de Água is a short walk down the hill. The Algarve at a pace that actually feels like a holiday.

The space

Balaia Golf Village 716 is a 90m² apartment on the first floor of the golf resort complex, sleeping up to 4 adults across two bedrooms. A sofa bed in the living room can accommodate one child.

The entrance hall connects two directions: a door to the left leads to a bathroom with shower and WC, and directly ahead is a bedroom with two single beds pushed together as a king. The bathroom also connects through to this bedroom, giving it an en suite feel while remaining accessible from the hallway too.

Back from the entrance, the kitchen runs along the left side of an open-plan living and dining area. A door off the hallway leads to a separate storage room with the washing machine. The living room has a sofa bed and dining table and opens directly onto the main terrace overlooking the golf course.

From the living room, a second door leads through to a large Italian shower bathroom with double shower heads, bright and well-finished, and beyond it the main bedroom with a king-size bed and its own private terrace.

Step out onto either terrace and the greens stretch out in front of you, quiet and unhurried.

The neighborhood

Balaia Golf Village sits in a quiet stretch of the central Algarve, about halfway between Albufeira and Vilamoura. The resort has tennis courts, a gym, and a spa, so the first few days can go by without leaving the grounds.

Olhos de Água is around 1 km away, a small fishing village that has kept its character despite the tourism all around it. The seafront has a handful of restaurants serving fresh fish, a narrow beach tucked between the cliffs, and not much else — which is the point.

Praia da Falésia is around 4 km from the resort, roughly 7 minutes by car. It is one of the best beaches on the Algarve coast: a long, wide stretch of sand backed by ochre and red cliffs up to 30 metres high, with clear water and enough space that it never feels crowded even in August. Praia de Olhos de Água is slightly closer and a good alternative on calmer days.

Albufeira's old town, with its square, fish market, and terrace restaurants above the sea, is around 10 minutes by car. For a quieter evening, the village of Olhos de Água is a 5-minute walk.

Faro Airport is around 30 minutes by car.

Getting around

A car is recommended for this location. The resort is set back from the main roads and public transport connections are limited. Parking is included with the apartment within the resort grounds. Faro Airport is around 30 minutes by car. Albufeira old town is around 10 minutes, and Lagos around 1 hour.
