The space

Casa das Brisas – the ‘House of Breezes’ - is a peaceful hilltop retreat with breathtaking panoramic views, stretching from the Atlantic coastline to the Serra de Monchique mountains. Designed to embrace its elevated setting, the villa’s expansive windows, large sliding doors and wraparound terraces allow indoor and outdoor living to blend effortlessly whilst enjoying one of the best views in the Algarve.

The upper floor is the heart of the villa where generous living spaces have been designed around the view. Multiple seating areas invite you to relax with a book, enjoy an evening drink or simply watch the landscape unfold below. The East and West terraces bookend the lounge, allowing the cooling hillside breezes to drift through the space, while the Sunset Terrace offers front-row seats to spectacular sunsets behind the Serra de Monchique.

The ground floor has been designed with family living in mind. The spacious, traditional kitchen flows into a panoramic dining room that provides access to the outdoor terrace, pool, dining area and BBQ – the perfect setting for long lunches and relaxed family dinners. A separate utility room provides a washing machine, additional fridge and outdoor drying area.

The west wing is home to the private Master Suite, complete with its own terrace, direct access to the garden and pool area and an adjoining twin bedroom, making it ideal for families with young children or as a dressing room. The large bedroom itself is air-conditioned and has its own ensuite bathroom complete with bath, shower and toilet facilities.

The east wing offers three further air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. Each bedroom also offers full length sliding doors, providing access directly onto the outdoor terrace. Flexible king-size or twin-bed configurations make the villa equally suited to families and groups of friends.

For quieter moments indoors, guests can enjoy a cosy TV lounge area with Smart TV, while the separate games room features a ping pong table.

Outside, terraces wrap all the way around the ground floor, so there is always somewhere in the sun or shade depending on the time of day. The private south-facing pool enjoys sunshine throughout the day and is perfectly positioned to make the most of the villa's extraordinary setting. Surrounded by comfortable loungers and framed by panoramic views across the Algarve countryside to the Atlantic coastline, it is a place where hours effortlessly drift by.

As the villa is located within a quiet residential area, parties, events and additional visitors are not permitted. We ask all guests to respect our neighbours and enjoy the tranquillity that makes this location so special.

➤ Families are very welcome at Casa das Brisas, and a travel cot and highchair are available. As with many traditional Portuguese villas, the property features an unfenced swimming pool, marble staircase and elevated terraces. Parents and guardians should ensure children are supervised at all times, especially near the pool and on the balconies, to ensure their safety.

The neighborhood

Located in the rural hills above Boliqueime, Casa das Brisas enjoys one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Algarve. From the villa's expansive terraces, the landscape unfolds in every direction with views of the Atlantic coastline stretching as far as the eye can see. Despite its peaceful hilltop setting, Casa das Brisas is just 15 -20 minutes from Vilamoura's beaches, marina, restaurants and golf courses. Yet many guests find themselves perfectly content to stay put simply soaking in one of the finest views in southern Portugal.

Praia da Falésia, one of the most striking stretches of coastline in the Algarve, is in the same direction: a long open beach backed by dramatic red and ochre cliffs, less crowded than the resort beaches and worth the short detour. Albufeira's old town and its wider beach are around 20 minutes away.

Inland, Loulé is around 15 minutes by car. The Saturday market in the covered market hall is one of the better ones in the region — local cheese, smoked fish, handmade ceramics, and the kind of produce that supermarkets here do not stock. The Moorish castle walls in the town centre are well preserved and worth a walk around. Quarteira's Wednesday street market, between here and the coast, is good for fish and vegetables.

Getting around

A car is essential. The villa sits in a rural area outside the village with no practical public transport connection. Faro Airport is around 25 to 30 minutes by car. Vilamoura is around 20 minutes. Albufeira around 20 minutes. Loulé town around 15 minutes. Private parking for 4 cars is available inside the gate at no extra charge.
