The space

Lumina Villas - No. 57 is a three-level villa of 153m² within the Lumina Villas resort in Carvoeiro.

A small entrance hallway opens onto a bathroom with shower and toilet on the right, with stairs to the upper and lower floors on the left. Downstairs is where the laundry facilities are kept.

Further along the ground floor, a half-open kitchen connects to the living and dining area, which opens directly onto the private garden, facing south.

Upstairs, two bedrooms sit on either side of the staircase, each with its own balcony, one facing northeast and the other southwest. One bedroom has a queensize bed, the other a double bed. A second bathroom, with a bathtub and toilet, sits next to one of the bedrooms. Every room, including the living room, has its own air conditioning.

Guests also have access to the resort's shared pool area.

Settle onto one of the balconies in the evening, and the day's warmth stays with you a little longer.

The neighborhood

Lumina Villas - No. 57 sits in the Mato Serrão area of Carvoeiro, a former fishing village on the Algarve's limestone coastline. The village centre, with its restaurants and cafés around Praia de Carvoeiro, is a short drive away, and Praia dos Caneiros, a quieter beach popular with locals, is close by too.

From here, the coastal walk out to the Algar Seco rock formations is one of the area's best free outings, and Benagil Cave, one of the Algarve's most photographed spots, is within easy reach by car or boat trip.

Lagoa, the nearest larger town, has supermarkets and a weekly market, a short drive from the villa.

Getting around

A car is recommended for getting around this part of the Algarve. Faro Airport is around 45 to 50 minutes by car. Public transport in this part of Carvoeiro is limited, so a short drive into the village or to Lagoa is needed to reach bus connections. Private parking for two cars is available at the villa.
