Casa Ines - Family apartment near Carvoeiro beach

The space

Picture a late lunch on the balcony after a morning on the beach, with the restaurants of Carvoeiro just down the road. Casa Ines is an 86 m² apartment on one level, on the ground floor of a residential building in the centre of Carvoeiro. It sleeps 5 adults, or up to 6 guests including a baby.

The front door opens into the living and dining area, with the kitchen on your left. The kitchen has an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and all the basics to cook for the whole family. The living room has a sofa bed for one extra guest and opens onto the north-west facing balcony, which catches the light in the late afternoon and evening.

On the right side of the living room, a small hallway leads to the rest of the apartment. On the right you'll find a storage room with the washing machine. On the left is the twin bedroom, with two single beds and a desk. Further along the hallway is a bathroom with shower and toilet, and next to it the main bedroom with a queensize bed and its own en-suite shower room. Both bedrooms open onto a smaller north-facing balcony overlooking the pool.

The living room and both bedrooms have air conditioning for cooling and heating. Every window has electric shutters, with a remote in each room.

When the evening comes, the balcony is the place to slow down before heading out for dinner in the village.

Guest access

The entire apartment is yours during your stay. The pool is shared with the other apartments in the condominium, and the owner's storage areas are locked and not part of the rental.

The neighborhood

Carvoeiro is a former fishing village on the central Algarve coast, built around a small sandy bay between golden cliffs. Colourful houses climb the hillside from the beach, and the village centre is full of restaurants, cafés and small shops. Guests come for the beach, boat trips to the sea caves along the coast, kayaking, diving and coastal walks.

Casa Ines sits on Estrada do Farol, a few steps from the main restaurants. Praia do Carvoeiro is a short walk away, and boat trips to the Benagil sea cave leave from the beach. Supermercado Bom Dia is a few minutes on foot for daily groceries, and the larger Intermarché is a few minutes by car. For a walk at the end of the day, follow the clifftop boardwalk to Algar Seco, where the sea has carved the rocks into arches and natural windows.

Getting around

Within Carvoeiro you can do everything on foot, but a car is recommended if you want to explore more of the Algarve. Faro Airport is around an hour by car, and the nearest train station, Estombar-Lagoa, is around 15 minutes' drive. Local buses connect Carvoeiro with Lagoa and Portimão, but services are limited. There is no private parking. Free street parking is available in the surrounding streets, depending on availability.

Other things to note

➤ Check-in time: 16:00-22:00 (late arrival possible in consultation)
➤ Check-out time: before 10:00
➤ Check-in is via a keybox at the building entrance. The code and instructions are in your rental guide.

➤ The apartment is on the ground floor, but there are around five steps inside the building to reach the front door. The apartment is not suitable for wheelchair users.
➤ The condominium pool is reached from outside the building: turn right and go through the small gate. The gate key is on your keyset, together with the key for the sun loungers reserved for the apartment.
➤ The pool is not fenced. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times in and around the pool.
➤ The apartment is in the centre of Carvoeiro, a few steps from restaurants, so some evening street noise is possible, especially in summer.
➤ A travel cot and highchair are available. Please let us know when booking if you would like to use them.

➤ Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment. Smoking is allowed on the balconies.
➤ Pets are not allowed.
