The space
Dit moderne en ruime appartement ligt direct achter Meia Praia en biedt een onbelemmerd uitzicht op de Atlantische Oceaan. Met twee slaapkamers en een badkamer met inloopdouche biedt het comfortabel plaats aan vier gasten. Het privébalkon en het gedeelde zwembad kijken uit over het strand, de ideale plek om te ontspannen. Binnen is het appartement uitgerust met een gebogen flatscreen-tv, ergonomische matrassen en alle gemakken, waaronder een vaatwasser, wasmachine en droger. Een lichte en stijlvolle retreat, op slechts een steenworp afstand van het zand.

The neighborhood
Het appartement is gelegen aan de Lagos kant van 'Meia Praia', het gebied genoemd naar het strand waarachter het ligt. U heeft uw tenen in het zand binnen 5 minuten na het verlaten van het huis! Het Marina gebied ligt op ongeveer 10 minuten afstand en heeft alles wat u nodig heeft zoals restaurants, bars met live muziek en een grote supermarkt. Er zijn ook een paar restaurants in Meia Praia, sommige als onderdeel van resorts. Het Vila Galé resort heeft ook spa en fitness faciliteiten die open zijn voor klanten van buitenaf. Om het centrum van Lagos te bereiken hoeft u alleen maar de brug achter de jachthaven over te steken.
Lagos is de perfecte vakantiebestemming met een levendig historisch centrum vol winkels, (super)markten, een jachthaven, bars en restaurants. Het staat bekend om zijn adembenemende kliffen en we raden je een boot-, kajak- of SUP-tour aan om ze vanaf het water te bekijken. Het stadje heeft een pittoresk historisch centrum, heerlijk eten en vriendelijke mensen. Omdat het aan de kust ligt kunt u genieten van verschillende watersportactiviteiten zoals surfen en zeilen. Er zijn veel activiteiten voor alle leeftijden en voorkeuren in dit gebied.
Getting around
Lagos is met de auto in ongeveer een uur te bereiken vanaf de luchthaven van Faro en er is autoverhuur beschikbaar op de parkeerplaats van de luchthaven. Met de trein duurt het ongeveer 2,5 tot 3 uur.
Lagos heeft een treinstation (voor reizen richting Faro, Lissabon en Porto) en een busstation (voor bussen richting de westkant van de zuidkust), maar houd er rekening mee dat bussen en treinen maar een paar keer per dag gaan. U kunt zich gemakkelijk verplaatsen zonder auto en er zijn voldoende taxi's en Ubers beschikbaar, maar als u echt de omgeving van Lagos wilt verkennen, zal een (huur)auto uw leven een stuk gemakkelijker maken.

There is actually a washing machine and also a dishwasher.
The safe did not work, nor did the three remote controls for the air conditioning units. There are cupboards and drawers full of old electrical appliances from different generations. You then have to laboriously pick out the right one from a variety of paper operating instructions.
The siphon in the washbasin has certainly been leaking for ages, as you can clearly see from the bathroom furniture underneath. The mattresses are good.
The balcony is clearly too narrow and also very dirty and littered with discarded objects.
The pool on the roof (8x3 metres) is quite nice. There are also sun loungers (8 of them), but these should be used with caution as some of them are broken. There is no shade in the pool area, which severely restricts use when the sun is strong. The pool was cleaned twice in the 14 days and has been tested.

We would highly recommend this rental if you are looking for a peaceful getaway with all the required home amenities, but close enough to the restaurants and action if you wanted that.

Location is very nice near the sea and walkable to Lagos centre.
When you’re inside you can’t see the sea and this felt a bit claustrophobic. The terrace is very small and has no deckchairs, only a small table and 3 chairs.
Nice pool on the roof with deckchairs but no shade.

Von den drei Terrassentüren ließ sich nur eine öffnen. Die anderen waren entweder nicht benutzbar oder fielen uns beim Versuch, sie zu öffnen, fast entgegen – hier besteht definitiv Reparaturbedarf. Auch im Badezimmer und den anderen Räumen sieht man, dass einige Teile schon komplett auseinanderfallen und dringend erneuert werden sollten.
Abgesehen von diesen Mängeln bietet die Wohnung alles, was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt benötigt, aber eine umfassende Sanierung wäre definitiv empfehlenswert für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis welches wir bezahlt haben.

A cozinha está bem equipada, a zona da sala é confortável, tem um bom sofá e uma boa televisão.
Havia um cheiro intenso a esgoto na casa de banho que tornou a permanência em casa não muito agradável, principalmente na zona da casa de banho e do quarto mais próximo da mesma.
Podiam fazer pequenos melhoramentos no apartamento principalmente na casa de banho (candeeiro de teto tem ferrugem, o resguardo da banheira está partido), com pouca coisa tornariam a experiência muito melhor.
Haviam poucas molas para estender roupa e fez alguma falta uma vassoura.

Les petits moins: des unités de climatisation murale bruyantes dans le salon et les chambres et une odeur étrange dans la salle de bain (la tuyauterie?). Mais le confort est A1.
La localisation, à 2 minutes de la plage, est fantastique ! La piscine au toit était très propre et l'eau à bonne température pour se rafraîchir. Nous avons toutefois pris l'auto pour aller au centre-ville ...
Nous vous recommandons, sans hésiter!
Coup de coeur: resto Quintal do Peixe, juste de l'autre côté de la rue!

Het stinkt er en dat komt van vocht uit de badkamer. Waarschijnlijk vanonder het bad. Verder oogt het allemaal wat verlopen. Allemaal vrij simpel te verhelpen en dat geeft het appartement veel potentie. Als de eigenaren daarin zouden investeren, dan kan dit een topper worden.

Het zwembad op het dak is heel goed onderhouden en voldoende ligstoelen aanwezig om te genieten van het mooie uitzicht. Doordat het zwembad solar verwarmd is konden we zelfs begin mei al zwemmen.
Als je de weg oversteekt bereik je direct het prachtige praia Meia. Er zijn ook veel leuke strandtentjes in de buurt.
Je loopt langs het strand over een aangelegd wandelpad in 20 min naar Lagos.
Wij hadden een auto gehuurd vanaf het vliegveld en we hebben heel veel mooie plekjes van Portugal in de buurt (binnen een uur) kunnen ontdekken.

Квартира выглядит немного уставшей, старый запах и нужен небольшой ремонт. Ванная немного устарела. К сожалению после прочтения отзывов могу сказать что проблема с ванной не решена, вода по прежнему плохо уходит и не работает переключатель для душа. Кран умывальника так шумит что его слышно весь дом. Отсутствие необходимо вещей таких как пакеты для мусора, кофе, шампуни( было указано что есть), полотенца для пляжа. Дверь-окно в спально плохо закрывалась и по этому шумно с улицы. Не очень чисто в доме так и на балконе. Сушилка для вещей грязная, старая и ржавая. Парковочное место есть но парковаться так сложно, очень узко. Мы поркавались на улице.
Из плюсов:
-большая и хороша оборудована кухня( много посуды , есть всё необходимое)
-хорошее расположение ( рядом пляж)
-рядом центр города и магазин
-WIFI хорошо работает
В целом не плохо но мы сюда больше не приедем.

Équipement vieillissant dans la salle de bain.
Aucune réactivité du personnel de Rental Valley devant la baignoire complètement bouchée et le pommeau de douche défectueux : nous avons du faire avec pendant tout le séjour sans aucune solution apportée ou proposée, ce qui est inadmissible.

We walked into town several times and it was totally doable. It was about a 25 minute walk which helped to justify the happy hour drinks that we partook in!
One recommendation that we have is for the host to provide instructions ahead of time for unlocking the door as it was a real head-scratcher at first!
Unfortunately, the tub drained very slowly and was clearly clogged. In addition, the switch between the two types of shower heads was broken. I reached out to rental valley asking them to address these issues and although they said they would send someone they did not.

Die Wohnung war sehr gross und hatte alles was man brauchte. Um die Waschmaschine waren wir sehr froh, das war purer Luxus.
Der Parkplatz in der Einstellhalle war ebenfalls super, jedoch schwer zum einparken.
Der Pool auf dem Dach war sehr sauber und es hatte nie viele Leute. Es hatte auch noch eine riesen Dachterasse zum sünnele. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Az ágyak fantasztikusak, prémium minőségű szivaccsal felszerelt.
A szállásadóval könnyű kommunikálni, gyorsan válaszol.
Egy negatív dolgot tudok írni. Mi márciusban voltunk, és esténként a lakásban kb. 18 fok volt a hőmérséklet, fáztunk. Ajánlom a szállásadónak legalább egy hősugárzó beszerzését.

Unser Aufenthalt war Dez. bis März. Der Strand und Dünenstrandweg aus Holz sind sehr schön, natürlich auch der Blick auf den Atlantik. Einige Gäste haben auch darin gebadet.

It would have been nice to have a few extra amenities included since we arrived late the first night and had no coffee, soaps, etc. We used the parking garage the first night and had many difficulties with the limited space for the parking spot.

La cocina es muy completa y amplia. Echamos de menos un kit de café de bienvenida para la primera noche.
Le falta mantenimiento: tenía fundidas varias luces, una la del baño, lo que obligaba a usar la lampara asociada al extractor que es ruidoso. La puerta de salida al balcón desde el salón estaba bloqueada y no fue posible abrirla durante la estancia, solo pudimos acceder al balcón desde el dormitorio.
El balcón es lateral, pero se ve el mar, delante de la casa hay una carretera por la que pasan continuamente coches lo que le resta cierto encanto para la ubicación tan extraordinaria que tiene.

The side porch that overlooked the water to spend mornings and evenings on, the espresso machine and wine bottle upon arriving, the AC, the personal parking space, laundry machine, the list goes on...
(If you happen to go here we fell in love with Praia do Beliche, the most beautiful beach we went to that wasn't so crowded, as well as Tasca do Kiko for dinner!! We went twice- you wont be disappointed).

If you have intentions of visiting the neighboring beaches and small coastal towns then I would recommend hiring a car for your stay.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to explore the great beaches and fantastic food in the Algarve:)
Wish we could have stayed a little longer.
