Our stay here was wonderful! It was a perfect place for a couple. The home was stocked with everything we needed and even had a book with recommendations for restaurants and places to see. Our hosts were very helpful and promptly answered all of our questions on transportation and nearby food stores. We hope to be back again and will definitely refer our friends!

Had a fabulous stay at the Luxury Ark. Catherine and Peter have created a wonderful oasis of calm and tranquillity after the busyness of the museums, galleries and shopping. Loved the views, the shower and the coziness. We cooked twice and there were lovely local restaurants as an alternative option. We walked to most places but the tram was easy and convenient on our last day. Amsterdam was great and the accommodation matched it in every way! We will definitely come back to the city and our little oasis! Thank you so much to our hosts for sharing their gorgeous place with us!

Saubere, moderne, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtete Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage. Zur nächsten Bahnstation max. 10 Min. Fußweg, Supermarkt um die Ecke. Fahrräder waren auch zur Nutzung vorhanden, ein zusätzlicher „Bonus.“ Es war alles da, was man für einen Kurzurlaub braucht. Sehr netter Kontakt zu den Vermietern. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und erholsame Tage auf diesem tollen Hausboot verbracht. Ich würde es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!

Alles war top! Sehr ruhige Lage und trotzdem war die Innenstadt schnell erreichbar! Das Hausboot hatte ein wunderschönes Flair und wir haben jede Minute genossen. Wir würden allerdings dazu raten Amsterdam nicht mit dem Auto zu besuchen. Parken ist sehr sehr teuer.

Modern und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattetes Hausboot mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. Wir haben das 3-Sturm-Wochenende dort verbracht und uns jederzeit sicher und behaglich gefühlt, auch wenn es manchmal ganz schön schwankte. Die Anbindung an die Innenstadt ist super, man kann sie zu Fuß, mit der Bahn oder den vorhandenen Fahrädern gut erreichen, dafür genießt man zum Schlafen die Ruhe am Kanal. Die Gastgeber sind jederzeit da, wenn man Fragen hat oder Hilfe benötigt, wenn nicht, kann man ungestört seine Zeit auf dem wunderbaren Hausboot verbringen. Wir werden sicherlich eines Tages zurückkehren!

Had a wonderful week stay on the houseboat. The location and surroundings were beautiful. About 20 minute walk to City Center and multiple tram and bus stops within a 10 minute walk. Not too far to all of the action, but away enough that you get peace and quiet. Hosts were very helpful and easy to communicate with and offered bikes and paddle boards to rent for pretty cheap! We did not get to take advantage of either because there’s never enough time on vacation, but you can launch the paddle board right off the dock/patio of the boat so I wish we would have been able to! The oven was a bit confusing for me, so if you plan on using it at all maybe ask about it at check in. Very clean. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed in this property.It is in a very peaceful spot but with good access to central Amsterdam. The property is very clean and all the appliances etc are very modern and work very well.It is very nice to sit with the large patio window open and feed the ducks. There are also some very nice cafe's/coffee shops within walking distance. Would have no hesitation in recommending

Not only is this houseboat incredibly modern and well equipped, it’s located in a quiet neighborhood just steps from a tram stop to connect you to the rest of Amsterdam. It’s a short walk to De 9 Straats and the Jordaan neighborhood full of beautiful canals and old houses. Check in was a breeze even late at night, the hosts are kind and quick to respond if you need anything at all.

We spent six nights at the Luxury Ark on our recent visit to Amsterdam. Our hosts, Catherine and Peter, were welcoming and very helpful. The Ark was a tranquil haven in the midst of the busy tourist season and yet still accessible to the city by bike, public transport or on foot. It was difficult to leave in the mornings and a joy to return each evening and sit by the canal while reflecting on the day’s activities! The Ark is very well set up with much thought given to making the space homely, aesthetically pleasing and functional. The check in process and communication with the hosts could not have been easier. The access to bikes was an added bonus that allowed us to experience that important side of Amsterdam. The Ark exceeded our expectations and we would be very happy to return on our next visit to Amsterdam.

We had a wonderful time here on the houseboat, it is beautiful!! We walked all of Amsterdam from here and also used the bikes one day (5 euro/bike) that they had provided which was lovely!!! Great surrounding area and restaurants.

The « HouseBoat » is a unique and pleasant abode. Waking up to sun shining into the bedroom and living-room plus the water features, a « mesmerising » experience. The host were « incroyable » + kind, friendly and helpful, and if your more on the introvert side then don’t worry the house is equipped with the necessary information and amenities. The house was clean and modern, the photos don’t do it justice, you have to live to understand it. I stayed for four full days, and all I wanted was to stay even longer. The house is well located if you come by car a few parking infrastructures next door, but honestly the street was safe (but careful it’s not free) and if you wish or even dare to experience the Dutch bicycle highways this is the place to start( bicycles available to rent directly with the house). So hassle free ! Beware the museums, think to purchase the Tickets beforehand because last minute isn’t a “thing” here. But if I’m coming back I’m coming here !

Thank you Peter and Catherine for creating a beautiful home on the canal. Very comfortable, quiet, clean and it felt like home. We had our coffee on the deck outside and was often visited by swans. Close enough to walk to tram stops to go into Amsterdam for tours etc. Supermarket and restaurants only a block away. Would highly recommend this accommodation!

Great place to visit all the downtown areas on foot, and get just far enough away for a peaceful night. Very modern and well decorated and equipped space. Hosts were great, responsive, friendly and professional. We were welcomed with a basket of goodies and chilled beverages in fridge. We walked everywhere in the city, so location is great. We fell in love with Amsterdam thanks to our unforgettable stay on the houseboat. The neighborhood is great—completely walkable, great parks nearby, easy to get to the city center by foot/bike/tram. The houseboat itself is decorated and furnished beautifully, and had everything we needed to work remotely for a couple of weeks. Catherine and Peter are excellent hosts and we really enjoyed talking with them. The highlight for us was swimming in the canal!

The stay was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Although not in the downtown canal area, the out canal location was peaceful and serene. Everything was walkable or a quick UBER ride…there was never any issue with UBER finding the houseboat . Catherine and Peter, the hosts were wonderful. We are very independent travelers and had created a packed daily itinerary so we did not feel a need to engage with them about recommendations or local information…they did reach out and offer which was appreciated. The houseboat was clean and bright and stocked with all the things one might need for bedding/linens. We brought in dinner 2 nights and made breakfast for ourselves daily. We took a short walk to the grocery store to get the staples we wanted…breakfast foods, beer, wine, water, yogurt, fruit and snacks. We totally enjoyed our time.

Don’t hesitate and book this houseboat immediately. We so enjoyed our stay on the water. After a long day of exploring the city, it was so nice to come back to a peaceful spot. Very well appointed and modern - it had everything we needed. The neighborhood felt like you were living among locals. Catherine was very friendly and responsive. Also had a fun private canal tour with Skipper Paap from a few houses down - highly recommend.

It is easy to spend an hour sitting on the sofa and looking at water and sometimes ducks swimming nearby. Hosts were friendly. We stayed here for a week for the start of our honeymoon in December and it was beyond our expectations. The houseboat is very well decorated and laid out - we had a good amount of space and felt very comfortable. The location is a bit away from the touristy areas but we loved that we were able to feel a bit more like locals and enjoy the peacefulness and beauty, and public transport was very easy! Catherine was very lovely and friendly and went above and beyond - letting us check in early, bringing us a honeymoon gift, and setting up a Christmas tree for us! We'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

What a truly unique and memorable stay! This houseboat is incredibly comfortable, spacious, stylish, and well equipped for everything you'll need. It was so comfortable that I easily could have pictured us living here! We loved the water views - seeing the reflection of the water at night is the best way to fall asleep! Just note that the place is about a 30 minute walk away from the main city center. The place provides bikes, but with the crowds and large number of competing cyclists, we felt more comfortable on foot. Thanks for the great memories!

Positive: Das Hausboot ist einfach toll; sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, blitzsauber und trotz der nahen Straße nachts sehr ruhig. An heißen Sommertagen könnte man zur Abkühlung direkt von der eigenen Terrasse ins Wasser steigen. Zu Fuß sind es ca. 12 Gehminuten bis zur nächsten Tramstation, auf dem Weg dorthin haben wir uns im Bendito Cafe jeweils einen ersten Kaffee gegönnt. Catherine ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin; sie hat uns mit diversen Tipps für Restaurants und angesagte Secondhand-Shops in Amsterdam versorgt und war immer erreichbar, wenn wir etwas fragen wollten. Da unser Rückflug erst am frühen Abend stattfand, durften wir unsere Unterkunft über die in Booking.com festgelegte Check-out Zeit benutzen, was sicherlich keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Wenn wir wieder nach Amsterdam reisen, buchen wir sicher wieder hier. Negative: Für Gäste, die wie zBsp. wir als Mutter und Tochter oder als Freund*Innen unterwegs sind, ist es eher ungünstig, dass es nur eine (zwar grosse) Bettdecke gibt. Für frischverliebte Paare sollte das jedoch kein Problem sein. :-)

We had a lovely stay in Amsterdam. This AirBnB is everything you see in the pictures and more. The space was clean and tidy and included some nice amenities. It is located in a nice area and a quick bike ride to many attractions like the Anne Frank House. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails on the river and took advantage of using the bikes available onsite once, for 5 euros a day. In addition to the beautiful accommodations, Catherine and Peter the on-site hosts, were friendly and excellent communicators. If we return to Amsterdam we will absolutely stay here again.

This houseboat was sooo lovely ! Owners made sure to be reachable any time and allowed us to leave our stuff earlier. The house was super clean, with perfect equipments and a wonderful decor. The location is perfect if you don’t wanna be too close to the city center and avoid the noise, you can peacefully enjoy your time watching the water from the couch. I really recommend this place (especially to lovers) and might come back ! Thank you again Catherine & Peter, you did really well with this house !

This place is wonderful! The owners were easy to get in contact with and even allowed an early check in after our long overnight travel. The house boat itself was super clean and very relaxing. We spent hours watching the water and local wildlife from the couch. The location is also perfect; we didn’t want to be too close to the city center (and all the tourists etc that it brings with it) but wanted to visit a couple of places there. The walk is easy and there’s even bikes available to rent from the owners which made it 100% quick and easy to get anywhere. There’s some great food a 10 min walk away as well as grocery stores to buy whatever you may need to cook in the cute kitchen. All in all we loved our late January / early February stay for 7 nights and would LOVE to go back. Thanks so much to Catherine and Peter!

First time on a house boat. Wonderful experience. One night the winds were 65kmph and got rocked gently to sleep. Very tastefully furnished. Has everything you need (including bikes) for a stay in AMS. 20-25 minute cycle to Daum Square. One of the best beds ever slept on! Close to shops (Albert Hein for groceries and coffee shops (for breakfast). Shame it was wet and cold during our time, so didn't get to use the deck over the canal.

Absolutely amazing! Everything was as per the Airbnb description and photos. We had some unusually hot weather so having the canal to swim and bikes to borrow were a game changer. Just bring your bug spray if you’re prone to mosquito bites but the mosquito net above the bed helped a lot. Highly recommended and we will book again next time we visit amsterdam

Amazing place - possibly the best AirBNB we have ever stayed in. The location is an easy 15-20 minutes from the main sights (walking) but you can use bikes provided and do it like a local! The place is clean, tidy, comfortable and modern with a well equipped kitchen and a few lovely extras thrown in. We loved eating breakfast on the back porch and making use of the living area at the end of the day. The hosts are wonderful, communicative and happy to help with any suggestions. A very enjoyable and comfortable stay in a great part of the city! We loved it!

A houseboat on a canal in Amsterdam! Seriously can it get any better than that? A unique and wonderful way to see the city and wake up every morning to a view of the water. Catherine and Peter were great hosts, and the space is new, stylish, with all the amenities you’d want (including heated floors!). This is hands down our favorite AirBnB stay to date, and you should book it now!

The house boat was a beautiful place to stay. There was so much more space than we expected. It allowed for us to spend one night of our trip at the house boat just to enjoy the space and high end touches. Our hosts were extremely responsive and so quick to offer suggestions which never failed to impress. They even offered an umbrella because it was raining!

Absolutely beautiful !!! Completely different experience if you have never stayed on a house boat (like me ...) Attention to detail in creating this place is great. It’s also centrally located, literally 5-10 mins drive away from major attractions. The host- Katherine was extremely friendly and helped us with local tips. Certainly recommending this one to my friends and I hope to come back here soon :) Cheers!

The houseboat was absolutely adorable! The location was quiet and away from the busy downtown area. Public transit was a bit of a walk but the availability of bikes to rent on-site was a wonderful touch! There was a book available with tips about local restaurants, grocery stores, and other points of interest, which was nice. The bed was comfy and the rain shower was heavenly! I'd definitely recommend this spot if you're staying in Amsterdam for a couple of nights!

Absolutely beautiful home and perfect size for a couple trying to visit Amsterdam (Mokum). The location is about a mile west of the Anne Frank Museum and walkable to any location in downtown. We were surprised by the availability of bikes and they added to our stay greatly. Our hosts were very easy to get in touch with and the checkin process could not have been easier. Amsterdam was made to walk and bike around but if you need an uber to rest your feet they are no more than 2-5min away depending on the traffic. It rained during our stay but that did not stop us. Our hosts were nice enough to lend us umbrellas and we kept on exploring. Don't let a light rain slow you down. Come visit Amsterdam and pick this BnB to make your stay even more enjoyable.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I couldn’t say a negative thing about it. Great people, beautiful home, and amazing atmosphere. The home was so stunning. It was so amazing to wake up and look outside to water. Also very private which was so nice! Great walking distance to the city, but also easily accessible to the tram! Fantastic hosts who were kind and helpful! 100% would recommend!!!

The house boat was great and very comfortable. We loved staying here, the neighborhood had lots to offer and the food hall was a short walk away. Easy to access the city by walking or using public tram or buses. Would love to come back and stay the next time we visit Amsterdam.

Bed on a boat is so much more than a bed on a boat
If you are looking for the perfect stay in this awesome city you should book this houseboat. From the bests hosts over the perfectly equipped house to the very private deck on the canal this was hands down the best we have ever stayed anywhere in the world! Catherine and Peter are just the best and their beautiful jewel is perfectly located so you can either walk or bike it to the best parts of Amsterdam. We will be back for sure and if I could I would give it 6 plus stars. Book this as this is all you are looking for when you need privacy and a quiet place in the midst of this busy great city.

The owners were very easy to get in contact with and really care about making sure the guests are taken care of. We loved the privacy and waterfront balcony mixed with the access to amenities like the bikes for rent.

I had a wonderful 5 days stay. The houseboat is lovely quiet and cozy. Catrine the host is a nice person so helpful to solve whatever problem you have. I couldn't recommend more 10/10. Hope to come back soon
