This boathouse was perfect for my partner and I! We took public transportation into Amsterdam everyday (20 minute walk to the bus stop, then a 10 minute bus ride, then a 30 minute tram ride to city center) it was so nice to come back to a quite place right on the water afterwards to relax. The only downsides were that there were no soap in the hand soap dispensers and that the public laundry was out of order, other than that it was perfect! Thank you!

Das Boot hatte Schräglage, was zumindest beim Schlafen nicht besonders angenehm war. Der hintere Schlafraum hatte eher die Atmosphäre einer Abstellkammer als eines Schlafzimmers. Zudem hatten wir für drei Personen nur zwei Deckbetten, dafür fünf Kopfkissen. Die als bequeme Taschenfederkern-Matratze gepriesene Matratze des Schlafsofas hatte Flecken und war völlig durchgelegen, so dass das Metallgestänge massiv spürbar war. Erholsamer Schlaf geht anders! Die Toilettenspülung funktionierte nicht zuverlässig, erst nach langem Warten konnte abgespült werden. Teilweise haben wir die WC-Anlage des Yachthafens genutzt. Die Mückengitter gaukeln Komfort vor, der nicht vorhanden war, weil die Gitter entweder eingerissen oder die Halterungen defekt waren. Die Sitzeinlage eines Kajaks war völlig verdreckt und deshalb nicht nutzbar, das Kajak selbst musste ebenfalls vor Benutzung gereinigt werden. Eines der beiden SUPs hatte ein Leck und eine fehlende Finne, so dass es nicht genutzt werden konnte. Das schmerzt insbesondere, weil gerade die beiden SUPs der Grund der Buchung genau dieses Hausbootes waren. Die Beleuchtung des Kühlschranks war defekt, die Regalfächer in der Tür waren abgerissen und die Fachböden fielen heraus. Die Kochutensilien waren in einem sehr gebrauchten Zustand, da hilft es auch nicht, wenn zwischendurch ein neuer Topf noch in Umverpackung im Schrank gefunden wurde, um über undefinierbar Klebendes in Töpfen und Pfannen hinwegzusehen.

Sehr gemütliches Hausboot mit allem was es braucht. Zentrale Lage, Amsterdam und andere Destinationen sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen. Einfach im Norden Amsterdams parken und mit der gratis Fähre ins Zentrum fahren.

I should have read more into the other reviews. Somebody indicated the boat slanted and I thought, how bad can that be? It was pretty bad. I stumbled a few times and things would slide off where I put them. The sink wouldn’t fully empty either. The screen for the back door had holes in it and I got eaten alive by bugs each night. Couldn’t turn on the fan to cool down because it shook violently and I thought it would fall on me while sleeping if I could get to sleep through the noise of it. The washer and dryer on site were inoperable. Location was good related to the town but being the first slip in the marina was a bit noisy.

We had a number of issues starting with a refrigerator that didn’t work (turned out to be a bad outlet so we could use the frig if the freezer was unplugged). The toilet often took 30-45 minutes before you could flush again. After reporting this early in the morning day 1 we finally heard back at 4pm and were told this was normal for a houseboat (??). One of the stove burners did not work. One window screen couldn’t be used because the clip was broken (the wind kept blowing it out of the window). The place was clean but all the containers for shampoo and soap in the shower were empty. For the $$ this seems like a lot of little things that need attention. It is a cute space and the kitchen is pretty well equipped for a small unit. We didn’t use the kayaks or SUPs but it’s a very cool option. Great location - the town area is very close (just a few min by bicycle) and the canal it is on connects to a huge, beautiful lake.

Gedeeltelijk leuk en smaakvol opgeknapt woonbootje. Wel klein, foto’s vertekenen nogal! Veel plekken viezig ennslecht onderhouden. Gezien de schoonmaakkosten mag je meer verwachten! Daarnaast lag het bootje erg schuin waardoor slapen wat lastig was! Als alkes netjes wordt gemaakt en schoon (keuken en pannen!) kan het een leuk verblijf zijn!

Demasiado caro por lo que es, yo y mi pareja era lo que buscábamos en el sentido de tranquilidad y buena vista pero todo lo demás no acompañó. Las alfombra están llena de suciedad, lleno de polvo, las cortinas ni las comento. La casa flotante está inclinada por lo cual te marea todo el rato. Los platos estaban todos sucios, comida dentro de cajas de plástico en los muebles. El baño tiene pérdida continua de agua que no te deja ni dormir. La habitación es un verdadero desastre. Necesita muchísimos arreglos. Me ocupo de lo mismo en ibiza, alquilo apartamentos vacacionales y la limpieza es lo básico y primordial a la hora de alquilar. Poco flexibles con el horario de salida. Me vino una alergia tremenda por el tanto polvo que había en esta casa. Me encantaría volver en verano pero no en esas condiciones. Vergonzoso.

Hele leuke woonboot op een top locatie, parkeren voor de deur en vanaf de woonboot ben je direct op de plassen. In de stad is alles te lopen (15min) supermarkt, winkels, restaurants, sportschool. De boot lag bij ons verblijf wel erg schuin wat even wennen was en met koken etc een beetje lastig. Alles kan wel een likje verf en hier en daar wat extra schoonmaak gebruiken. Hele fijne week gehad! :-)

Das Hausboot ist schön gelegen und die Paddles und Kanus werten den Aufenthalt sehr auf. Da das Wasser aber am Ende des Kanal recht dreckig ist, springt man nur ungern direkt vom Hausboot ins Wasser. Die Unterkunft ist auf den ersten Blick sehr schön, doch man sieht gleich, dass die Bilder schon älter sind. Besonders das Schlafzimmer ist sehr abgeranzt. Die Küche und das Badezimmer/Klo bieten alles, was man braucht. Etwas irritierend ist die Schräglage des Hausbootes, da man sich nicht sicher ist, ob es sich verschlimmert. Im Großen und Ganzen haben wir den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Der Aufenthalt im Hausboot und drum herum war eine sehr angenehme Zeit für uns. Es war alles da, was das Herz begehrte, lediglich die leichte Schieflage des Hausbootes irritierte ein wenig. Auf jeden Fall ist die Unterkunft sehr empfehlenswert!

The boat once inside bears no resemblance to the pictures on the listing which were obviously taken many years ago. The rugs were dirty, left over food in drawers and crumbs were left on the floor and work surfaces. Every plate, dish or mug we got from the cupboards was either dirty, chipped or cracked or all three. A mortar and pestle on top of the microwave still had food stuff in it. The fridge was unplugged so needed to cool down. The bedroom was the biggest disappointment, dank, dingy and unattractive and a dirty rug, not at all like the pictures on the listing. The bed was crammed into the space, walls damp and peeling and nowhere to put anything apart from a hanging rail and curtains with holes in. The lounge curtains were dirty and stained We opened doors on the first evening when the weather was nice but that led to mosquitos coming inside and we were both badly bitten, fly screen were left propped behind furniture untidily. Outside resembled a junk yard so not relaxing

La casa té una inclinació de 2° que ens ha fet la sensació d’estar en un vaixell però ens hi hem adaptat i per les estones que hi hem estat no ens ha molestat. Ens ha encantat veure com els ocells venien a la vora nostra a pescar peixos i Aalsmeer ens ha agradat molt també.

das Hausboot wirkte auf den Fotos gepflegt und in Schuss. Das entsprach nicht ganz der Wirklichkeit. Es sind Wartungsarbeiten definitiv fällig: die Küchenschranktüren waren schlecht zu bedienen, schlossen teilweise nicht richtig. Der Abfluss der Dusche lief schlecht ab, da das Boot Schräglage hatte. Es war schwierig zu duschen, ohne eine Überschwemmung zu riskieren. Die Außenfassade benötigt einen neuen Anstrich. Es entstand der Eindruck als ob zwar gereinigt wurde aber nur oberflächlich: Chipsbrösel zwischen den Dielen, Brösel auf dem Teppich und neben der Couch, Geschirr schmutzig im Schrank (Teller und Töpfe mit angekrusteten Resten), Küchenschränke klebrig, in den Schubladen Schokopapier von den Vorgängern. Leider gab es auch nur ein einziges Weinglas und das hatte Sprünge und ein ausgebrochenes Stück am Rand, so dass es nicht benutzbar war. Das Boot ist liebevoll ausgestattet, aber definitiv wurde es in letzter Zeit nicht gut gepflegt und gereinigt.

The carpet needed vacuuming, there was trash on the floor, the dishes had old food stuck to them, and worst of all we opened up the sofa bed for the first time and found a used sheet with large food crumbs, two yellow stains and hair. We messaged the host to get a refund on the cleaning fee because we paid a cleaning fee but it wasn’t up to standards, and they only gave us back one third of our cleaning fee. If they had refunded it maybe I’d recommend this place, but if you have a problem they don’t even refund you or help you fix the issue. Don’t recommend

Positive: No comment Negative: Location and accommodation is not as presented in the photos. There is no view and the accommodation is next to unkept area of the marina, I felt like we're staying in a scrap yard. Considering the high cleaning fee, I was surprised with the state of the accommodation too.. Furniture was old and damaged. Close to the airport indeed but if you don't drive getting to the location is a challenge, just something to keep in mind. Found another hotel and left asap.

Had a lovely time in the houseboat which was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The projector (can Chromecast your device) and the kayaks were a great addition. Communication with Rental Valley was also very easy and they got back to us quickly with all the helpful information and recommendations.

Positive: No comment Negative: Es gab Hare überall ins Bett und kein Saubere Kopfkissenbezügen. Keine Antwort darauf, als ich auf neue Fragen! Wenn es nicht so schwer war um zeitlich eine andere Wohnung zu schaffen, habe ich! Das Floss hängt mindestens 6 Grad und ich fand es sehr ungemütlich und sogar gefährlich! Da habe ich in die Mittel der Nach aufgestanden und wegen der Winkel des Bodens mich fast verletzt. Auch dafür habe ich schon am ersten Tag gefragt ob das korrigiert werden kann aber keine Antwort, nur eine Bestätigung das meine Nachricht dazu weitergeleitet würde.

Very cozy house boat with everything you need. The location is great, close to Amsterdam but also to the sea. The interior offers everything you need and it was super clean. Please do not forget to bring anti mosquito as it is directly at the water. And at some nights the close airport was really annoying, as some planes were coming down around 11pm, sometimes it felt like they land on our roof. But all in all this place is really recommendable.

Alles was Michel hier verspricht, wird wahr und das zu Tausenden :) Aalsmeer ist eine wunderschöner Ort an dem man sich nicht satt sehen kann. Die Lage des Bootes ist einfach nur Traumhaft und Michel ist ein sehr, sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. All things, promised by michel, are real and amazing. Aalsmeer is a little, lovely place where you can see the cute dutch spirit. The houseboat is also amazing and big as well. Michel is a very nice person and built a beautiful place.

This little boat house is in a very cute area, very close to Schiphol airport by car ; and we were particularly touched by all the groceries prepared by this host for us to eat (and drink!) for diner and breakfast, which adds to the convenience of this boathouse

Wir waren sehr begeistert von Michels Hausboot. Sauber, schön Eingerichtet und man hat alles was man braucht. Michel ist sehr Gastfreundlich und hat uns am Ankunftstag mit einem Starterpacket begrüßt (Obst, Brot, Wein usw.). Am besten war es das man die Kajaks und Sufboards mit nutzen durfte, so konnten wir viele schöne Touren unternehmen. Wir würden gerne wieder kommen.

Der Aufenthalt hat uns beiden sehr gefallen und würden jeder Zeit gerne wieder Urlaub auf diesem herzlich eingerichteten Hausboot machen. Es ist perfekt für Paare, bietet aber auch genug Platz für eine weitere Person. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht und es gab sogar eine Flasche Wein plus einige Lebensmittel, die wir benutzen durften. Beim Check in und Check out war Michel sehr entgegenkommend und flexibel. Danke dafür! Wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich genossen.

Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage auf Michels Hausboot! Was eine tolle Erfahrung, hier zu übernachten! Alles war wie beschrieben. Michel selbst ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, hat gute Tipps für die Region und hat uns warmherzig willkommen geheißen. Besonders toll fanden wir die Kayaks bzw. SUPs, die Michel zur Verfügung stellt und mit denen wir jeden Tag einen kleinen Ausflug unternommen haben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren zu zweit über knapp in dem Hausboot & wir waren wirklich sehr zufrieden. Wir wurden sehr nett und herzlich begrüßt. Michel hat uns wirklich alles in Ruhe erklärt. War wirklich sehr schön. Man hat seine Ruhe ist aber auch sehr schnell in der Stadt. Waren dort auch essen uns können wirklich nicht meckern. Wie würden jederzeit wieder hin gehen! Nur zu empfehlen!

Michel's houseboat is Lovely! Very peaceful area, and a clean and comfy home. He took care to make sure we had everything we may need and provided access to all his recreation vehicles (paddle board, kayak, bike). Perfect for 2-3 people! A terrific host!

Super Unterkunft, charmante Lage, alles da, was man braucht. Wir haben den Aufenthalt total genossen, sUP, Kanu, die Lage am See, waren Schwimmen, hatten richtig Glück mit dem Wetter... in 30 min mit dem Auto am Strand... wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder Und Ps: macht euch keine Sorgen wegen Mücken, Netze an den Fenstern funktionieren top, wir hatten nicht einen Stich!

A great little houseboat with free kayaks, a free bicycle, and lots of snacks. Michel even gave us a bottle of wine! Even the bed, which was a pull-out couch, was very comfortable.

Really lovely houseboat. Absolutely recommend for max 2 person who would like to spend a romantic weekend or week in the Amsterdam area. The overhead projector home cinema was absolutely awesome.

Très bel emplacement mais des prestations améliorables
L’endroit est très agréable, prêt du lac dans un très beau quartier, parking au pied . Tous les équipements sont présents pour un agréable séjour... Malheureusement 2 bémols : un canapé-lit de qualité très très médiocre et un niveau de chauffage bloqué par le propriétaire ce qui réduit le confort en soirée... Dommage
