Dit luxe appartement met 2 slaapkamers, 2 badkamers en een ruim balkon met uitzicht op zee ligt aan de rand van het strand van Meia Praia.
The space
Dit ruime, moderne en smaakvolle appartement met 2 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers is perfect gelegen achter het strand van Meia Praia, aan de kant van de stad Lagos (15 minuten te voet). U heeft een prachtig uitzicht over Meia Praia en de Atlantische Oceaan, zowel vanaf uw ruime privébalkon als vanaf het gedeelde zwembad op het dak. Eerste lijn appartement aan het strand.
De woning is luxueus uitgerust om aan al uw comfort te voldoen. Van de open keuken tot de woonkamer, beide slaapkamers en het ruime balkon; zeezicht is overal om u heen! De badkamers met inloopdouche zijn in de zomer van 2020 gerenoveerd.

Het appartement is helemaal van u tijdens uw verblijf. Het condominium heeft een gedeeld zwembad met geweldig uitzicht op de oceaan.

The neighborhood
Het appartement is gelegen aan de Lagos kant van 'Meia Praia', het gebied genoemd naar het strand waarachter het ligt. U heeft uw tenen in het zand binnen 5 minuten na het verlaten van het huis! Het Marina gebied ligt op ongeveer 10 minuten afstand en heeft alles wat u nodig heeft zoals restaurants, bars met live muziek en een grote supermarkt. Om het centrum van Lagos te bereiken hoeft u alleen maar de brug achter de jachthaven over te steken.
Er zijn ook een paar restaurants in Meia Praia, sommige als onderdeel van resorts. Het Vila Galé resort heeft ook spa- en fitnessfaciliteiten die open zijn voor klanten van buitenaf.
Lagos is de perfecte vakantiebestemming met een levendig historisch centrum vol winkels, (super)markten, een jachthaven, bars en restaurants. Het staat bekend om zijn adembenemende kliffen en we raden een boot-, kajak- of SUP-tour aan om ze vanaf het water te bekijken. Het stadje heeft een pittoresk historisch centrum, heerlijk eten en vriendelijke mensen. Omdat het aan de kust ligt kunt u genieten van verschillende watersportactiviteiten zoals surfen en zeilen. Er zijn veel activiteiten voor alle leeftijden en voorkeuren in dit gebied.
Getting around
Lagos is met de auto in ongeveer een uur te bereiken vanaf de luchthaven van Faro en er is autoverhuur beschikbaar op de parkeerplaats van de luchthaven. Met de trein duurt het ongeveer 2,5 tot 3 uur.
Lagos heeft een treinstation (voor reizen richting Faro, Lissabon en Porto) en een busstation (voor bussen richting de westkant van de zuidkust), maar houd er rekening mee dat bussen en treinen maar een paar keer per dag gaan. U kunt zich gemakkelijk verplaatsen zonder auto en er zijn voldoende taxi's en Ubers beschikbaar, maar als u echt de omgeving van Lagos wilt verkennen, zal een (huur)auto uw leven een stuk gemakkelijker maken.

Straße ist direkt vor dem Balkon. Da wir viel unterwegs waren, hat es uns nicht so sehr gestört.

Es har keinen Besen im Putzequipment um ein Mal den Balkon zu putzen damit nicht immer der Sand in die Wohnung getragen wird, der Abwassergeschmack von den einem WC und auf dem Balkon war ziemlich streng und teilweise unappetitlich.

Que no advirtieron que había una plaga de moscas todos los días que no se podía abrir ni las ventanas. Teníamos que estar encerrados. La encimera de la cocina, baños, ropa de cama, nuestras ropa, comida... todo lleno de moscas muertas que caían del techo muertas .

Negatives: Driving into the complex whith a car had the wrong code for the electronic gate. The key box has the house key outside the apartment which had some type of vob that was mistaken for the garage door (trip wasted up and down). The garage door opener was inside the unit.
The elevator exit has two large steps which could be tricky with heavy luggage or handicapped individuals.
There is no paper napkins or paper towels in the unit. A small kit comes with one soap for washing clothes and two for the dishwasher.
Check out time at 10 gives them 6 hours to clean with a $150 fee for three nights (all unsat)

The pillows were awful. There were a lot of ants when we arrived and we had to put down ant powder. There was an unpleasant smell in the main bathroom. The lock on the main bedroom patio door was broken and a stick was used to keep it locked.

Uno de los baños olía fatal era muy desagradable. En el baño de la habitación de matrimonio no funcionaba la ducha correctamente. Estas cosas deberían comprobar y arreglar . Pues tu pagas para que todo esté bien.

The owner provided lots of information but locating the right apartment and code for the gates was tricky. Luckily two residents helped us out. Parking inside the gates or the parking garage is very tight.
We would definitely recommend the apartment.

Ruhig gelegen und ca. 2 km Fussweg zum Hafen und nochmal 1 km und man ist im Zentrum von Lagos. Einige Beachbars/ Beachrestaurants auch in der Nähe.
Matratze in Doppelbett sehr hart.
Nerviger self-service Checkin sowie anonyme Kommunikation. OK wenn es funktioniert würde aber wir haben den falschen Türcode erhalten und mussten Kontakt über Hotline aufnehmen.

The property could provide a more complete starter kit including washer detergent, additional bathroom tissue and more than 4 towels. We picked these items up the following day but we couldn't complete clothes washing as planned upon our arrival after 6 pm. Minor details but we experienced a great quiet stay

My only complaint which is why I only gave this place four stars is because they gave us the wrong code to get into the gates. Luckily, when we arrived the car gate was open and entering the unit was very easy. When we left for dinner we tried the codes and they did not work. Communication was great but they kept asking us to try the wrong code. When we returned home later, the codes did not work and no one responded until the morning with new codes.
Aside from this the place was lovely, and I'm sure the codes will be updated within the communication pdf.

No one met us at the apartment to check us in, everything was sent by email. The Rental Valley agency’s phone number is never answered and there is a long wait for someone to answer a question by text/email for several hours. Apartment is listed on the ground floor, but it’s actually 1 floor up from the ground floor and the floor is labeled “0”; the parking spot assigned to the apartment was occupied by some other vehicle for a couple of days and we were instructed to look elsewhere on the streets to leave a car, what to do in this case and how to handle this situation was not clear.
Nothing was provided on getting to town (bus number or walking directions), this was not included in the pdf document.
Apartment was nice with great balcony, but one of the bedrooms does not have a bathroom inside the room, it’s down the hall, which was inconvenient and not listed correctly in the description. Only two chairs for 4 people for the beach were provided

Problème de baie vitrée qui ne ferme pas dans une chambre (pas de système de fermeture) . Ce n est pas sécurisant pour un logement en rdc sur élevé. Problème de sanitaire dans une des 2 salles de bains. Difficile d avoir de l eau chaude, évacuation des WC entraînant par moments de mauvaises odeurs dans l appartement

We didn't have a car, and walk to marina/town/grocery was easy, and the bus stop right in front of the apartment was great when we didn't want to walk or were going further.

Gut informiert war man auf der Seite aber auch nicht. Erst mit Hilfe anderer Bewohner ist es uns nach mehr als einer Stunde gelungen, den Schlüssel zu "finden".
Fazit: man muß zuerst durch eines der Tore in den Hof, der Schlüssel ist dann in einem Schlüsselkasten neben der Wohnungstür und nicht in einem der Kästen am Hauseingang. Die Wohnung selbst konnten wir nur anhand der Fotos im Inserat erahnen, genau beschrieben war sie auch nicht.
Das war leider kein guter Anfang eines sonst sehr schönen Aufenthaltes.
Die Wohnung selbst entspricht der Beschreibung, ist sauber und sehr gut gelegen. Das Doppelbett in einem der Schlafzimmer ist etwas hart und unbequem.
Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, die Bäder großzügig und neu.
Toll ist der Pool auf dem Dach. Er ist sauber, es gibt Liegen und man hat eine herrliche Aussicht.
Die Tiefgarage haben wir nur einmal befahren und dann nicht weiter benutzt. Sie ist sehr klein, eng und verwinkelt und kaum zu befahren. Aber man kann direkt auf der anderen Straßenseite auf einem großen Platz kostenlos parken.
Jetzt, wo wir wissen, wie man in die Wohnung gelangt, würden wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Lack of info about local amenities
The apartment was a long way from town and any shops which was difficult for us as we didn’t have a car. Local bus service was supposed to be hourly but was at best late or didn’t stop. Taxis were hard to book. More info would have helped. Also Tv wouldn’t work and after a few days waiting for assistance we tried changing the batteries and it worked. Also despite working to the letter of the instructions the safe would not open and we had to lock our valuables in our suitcases which was a pain. Again no one came out or phoned to help us fix it. Also if two people tried to shower at same time, one got cold water.

A well appointed rental. With a few adjustments could be an excellent stay, see negative comments.
Poor quality towels having been over washed. Had to request extra bath towels as only one supplied per person for whole week. Beds had a plastic under sheet which meant a good nights sleep was impossible. Did not have any shade on the balcony when in full sunlight.

leider konnten wir nur eines der beiden Badezimmer benutzen, im anderen stank es dermassen nach Fäkalien aus den Abflüssen (obwohl alles topsauber war), das wir nicht reingehen mochten.
