This was our second stay and we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else when visiting the area! Private, beautiful and geared towards rest and wellness this place is a perfect sanctuary. Alex was on hand with recommendations for running routes, help with the sauna and ice bath and for friendly and welcoming conversation. The property is chic and well thought out with a log fire, a very comfy bed and spotless linens. A thoughtful gift of tea, wine and coffee was left for us on arrival. If you want somewhere beautiful and calm to stay, much more special and unique than a hotel and somewhere to really feel at home then Lemon Lodge is for you!

What an incredibly unique destination! We were absolutely delighted to reserve a few days at this charming retreat as part of our journey. Remarkably, even when rain unexpectedly graced us with its presence for one of those days, this haven proved to be the ideal sanctuary. It exudes coziness and boasts picturesque beauty, providing a welcome escape from the frenetic pace of life. We would recommend the lemon lodge to anyone who likes to forget about time and feel safe in nature. the location is absolutely amazing with a view over the aljezur mountains and the lodge is made with a lot of style and love. the hosts are open and warm people and you feel directly at home with them. they are always available for questions and always have a good recommendation ready. we will definitely be back!

Magical farmstay with the most beautiful surroundings - would highly recommend, a very special place
Positive: The owners have put so much love into the property, the details and atmosphere transport you into another world. I've never felt so relaxed and peaceful. The house had so many beautiful and diverse areas to hang out and relax. Alex was an incredible host and we loved running into him on one of the beaches too. Great vibes all around, I'm already dreaming of another trip back. From the yoga deck, to the sauna and ice bath - everything is at your disposal to feel relaxed and nourished. We had everything we needed to cook delicious meals at the place and they also provided an incredible selection of herbs & spices + you could purchase bio eggs and veggies from their garden for a small fee. You're also a quick drive to Aljezur and the surrounding beaches are stunning! Negative: Only wish we could have stayed longer, it was one of my favorite places I've ever stayed.

Beautiful but..
Let me start by saying how beautiful the location is, and how well decorated the villa. The owners are super friendly and quick to respond to any questions you have. That said, some constructive feedback and some insights for future travelers.. It felt a little bit more like Glamping to us. We understood that the whole concept is around sustainability and that is great, but the price we paid (€200 a night) was just a bit much for what you get. The villa is not completely closed off so bugs can easily get in. We had an ant problem in the kitchen so you constantly have to wipe the counter and that is a bit off putting to use the kitchen in general. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly and either kept running or the water in the tank didn’t refill. The shower head holder was also broken. We stayed 6 nights and there wasn’t any cleaning or emptying of the bin’s, and we were out of toilet paper by then. I understand we can ask for these things but I would suggest to the owners to maybe incorporate this a little bit more. Again, beautiful beautiful property and very nice people running it. But the price was definitely too high for us for what you get in return.

Heerlijk verblijf op een prachtige locatie.
Positive: Heerlijk huisje met alles erop en eraan. Binnen en buiten meer dan voldoende ruimte en alle benodigde spullen, inclusief barbecue en zelfs spelletjes! De locatie is prachtig, wel afgelegen en echt een oase van rust, maar in 15 minuten rijden ben je bij Aljezur waar je eigenlijk alles hebt wat je nodig hebt. Handig om te weten: er lopen honden, katten en kippen los op de locatie. Hartstikke lief en luisteren goed. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en goed benaderbaar/bereikbaar. Je kan mooi wandelen in de omgeving. Negative: De weg naar de locatie is een beetje off road, maar goed begaanbaar met een normale auto, alleen even wennen.

A beautiful experience in an authentic and natural setting.
Although we found a window with only 2 nights free, it was totally worth going to Lemon Lodge. Beautiful nature, hills, authentic and spacious clay, brick and mortar house. All things done with love and care. The fireplace was burning throughout the day and the smell of eucalyptus was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. The owners are great people with their vision, passion and an inspiring story behind their work. This kind of tourism experience has future - keep up doing what you are doing!

We had a wonderful stay at The Lemon Lodge. After a warm welcome by Alex, we immediately felt at home. We really enjoyed the peace, the nature, the lovely dogs and horses and of course the great accommodation. Back to nature yet luxurious. We would love to come back again.

The Lemon Lodge was a very special stay for us during our time in Portugal! Alex greeted us upon check in and was very helpful during our stay with anything we needed and local recommendations. The place itself is absolutely beautiful!! A very serene, relaxing vibe - exactly as the photos show :) Comfortable bed, lots of space, and a beautiful property with everything you need + more. Plus close to so many great restaurants and beaches! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in a more remote, quiet area of the Algarve. But still only a 15 min drive to the nearest town, Aljezur. Thanks for a very memorable stay!

Positive: Sehr entspannte Lage, umgeben von purer Natur. Die Hunde der Lodge haben uns regelrecht Gesellschaft geleistet und die Besitzer der Lodge standen jederzeit zur Verfügung. Ein grosser Supermarkt kann innert 10 Minuten Autofahrt erreicht werden, wo man sich für den gesamten Aufenthalt ausrüsten kann. Extrem bequemes Himmelbett, toll eingerichtetes Lodge, wunderschön gepflegte Aussenanlage. Wir haben die 2 Tage im Lemon Lodge sehr genossen und würden hier jederzeit wieder buchen. Einzigartiges, naturverbundenes Haus im Hinterland
Positive: Einzigartige, einfache und stillvolle Einrichtung und Umgebung, viel Privatsphäre. Mit vielen liebevollen Details und guter Kücheneinrichtung. Die Gastgeber waren einfach und schnell zu erreichen bei Fragen. Highlight: Feuer-geheizte Sauna. Negative: Bei leider nicht all zu gutem Wetter eher etwas kalt (wofür die Gastgeber natürlich nichts können). Aber wir mussten definitiv jeden Abend ein Feuer machen und es war trotz dicker Decken und extra Wolldecken eher kalt nachts.

Super cool stay with lovely views
Positive: Superb location! What a view on the surroundings every day. Beautiful decorated rooms, very comfy bed and nice fireplace for in the evenings. Having a fully equipped kitchen made our stay very comfortable. The owners of the place, especially William who welcomed us, made us feel at home immediately! We love the goal of the owners to create a sustainable, self providing place to live Negative: Nothing really, the only thing that might be tricky for some travellers is the road to get up the hill towards the Lemon Lodge. Its doable, but you need to be aware of the bumpy dirt road going up hill as the last part

Ein wunderschöner Ort
Positive: Perfekter Ort zum Entspannen. Tolle Natur und wunderbare Stille. Das Haus ist wirklich wunderschön, man fühlt sich sehr sehr wohl. Alles ist mit ganz viel Liebe eingerichtet. Auch der Außenbereich ist ein Traum. Das ganze Konzept dahinter ist einfach toll. Helena & Alex sind super lieb und in ihre Hunde verliebt man sich sofort. In Aljezur und somit beim Supermarkt, aber auch bei super schönen Stränden ist man schnell. Negative: Alles war super.

Beautiful lodge in the mountains of Aljezur
Positive: We loved the unique interior style of the apartment and the hospitality of the owners so much. It was just a perfect getaway from the busy city life. The beaches of monte Clérigo and Arrifana are a short 10 minutes drive from the location and various restaurants are pretty close in the center of Aljezur and Arrifana. perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature
We booked the lodge to take a few days off. The lodge is surrounded by beautiful nature, but only 10 minutes away from the centre of Aljezur. The rooms are designed in a modern, beautiful and clean style, which helps you to relax. The hosts are very lovely and brought us fruits from the garden and eggs from the own chickens.There is a cosy lounge and hammock on the terrace where you can listen to the leaves blowing in the wind. the kitchen is fully equipped. We didn't miss anything and we will definitely come back again.
