The house combines modern en tasteful interior with comfort an traditionals style at a super central location in the old town of Albufeira. You could, quite literally, step out the house and roll down to the main beach in under 2 minutes. The final cherry on top is the sunny roof terrace, ideal for those balmy summer nights.
The space
Casa dos Sonhos sleeps up to 6 persons with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The house has been tastefully decorated with modern and comfortable furnishings while respecting the style of the traditional Portuguese waterfront accommodations. In a relatively small space, the owners managed to create a bright and airy holiday home, ideal for families with children. All bedrooms are equipped with A/C while the open plan living and dining room receives plenty of fresh air from the adjoining patio. The kitchen is fully equipped. An external staircase leads from the patio to the roof terrace with outdoor dining and lounge set. The ideal place for your morning coffee in the first rays of sun or one of those never ending balmy summer nights with a glass of wine and good company.

The neighborhood
The townhouse is located smack in the middle of old town Albufeira, very close to the beach and just around the corner from lots of restaurants, shops, and bars, and therefore a popular tourist destination. As the house is located along a residential street, you are in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, but still in a quiet and calm location.
Getting around
You can easily get around on foot or use public transport or taxi/uber to travel around town. If you wish to explore the larger Algarve area, a hire car is recommended. Parking in old town Albufeira is challenging, therefore we recommend you to use one of the parking areas like P5 (5 minutes from the house) or (for free) on the outskirts of the city and walk or take a taxi from there.

The place was not cleaned properly there were socks and other items (I guess from previous guest left behind. The bed is very dirty, the windows let in noise and emission from passing vehicles. I ended up killing 6 roaches while there and we kept getting sewer flies coming in the house. The roaches were mostly present in the slot of the pocket doors into the bathroom. There was also a constant sewer smell present. The only thing that saved the stay was the town and beaches. I documented everything above with photos if needed. Although the host offered and did send a cleaning team that was not going to fix the insect problem.

Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to assist as the help was declined. We are truly saddened to read this review, especially as we tried to respond promptly to the issues as soon as they were raised.
Regarding the insects, our cleaning team could indeed have addressed the issue, as we have special products to handle this type of situation. After your departure, our team did a thorough inspection of the property, but unfortunately, the presence of cockroaches could not be verified. While we did not receive further proof regarding the cleaning concerns, we were ready to resolve any other issues you encountered, such as the cleanliness of the property and concerns with the bed or windows to ensure that your stay was as comfortable as possible.
We hope that, despite these inconveniences, you were able to enjoy the rest of your stay.

Lovely cottage in easy walking distance of the centre, but far enough away to make it feel like you’re somewhere more remote. Lovely private roof terrace with seating and dining table (and cushions and umbrellas), in addition to the little ground floor courtyard, which also has a smaller table and a couple of chairs. We chose it for the en suite bedrooms and it was exactly as described. We did have an issue on arrival, but were able to speak to the rental agency who resolved it quickly and efficiently. Some road noise can be heard in the bedrooms, perhaps take ear plugs if you think it might be a concern for you. Overall a charming house in a great location (and very close to the beaches), turn left at the end of the road for Fisherman’s Beach, which is less busy than the main beach with some lovely restaurants.

Situated minutes from restaurants, beach and lively old town the location would suit most age groups. The rooftop area is perfect for relaxing in the sun which it gets from early morning until late afternoon, even in February.Three bedrooms and three bathrooms make this a good property for family stays.

The property was lovely. Very nicely decorated and spacious. We really liked that there was a shower room for each bedroom. The outside space was great with a super roof terrace complete with barbeque and ample seating. The location was very central to old town and only a few minutes walk to the beach. Albufeira is noisy at night. Perhaps installing double glazing on the two front bedrooms could help to muffle the sound of the late night revellers….

Casa dos Sonhos ligt midden in het oude centrum en alle restaurants, café's, activiteiten-verhuur e.d. ligt op loopafstand. Het is ruim genoeg voor 6 personen, met 3 slaapkamers en 3 badkamers. Vooral het dakterras is perfect om 's middags of 's avonds nog wat te borrelen. De bedden liggen wel goed, de kussens zijn wel veel te dun, de badkamers zijn schoon met wel wat ouderdomsplekjes. Er waren maar 4 koffiemokken helaas. Koffiezetapparaat, broodrooster, fornuis e.d. werken prima. Er is geen afwasmachine. Extra vuilniszakken konden we niet vinden. Het sleutelsysteem met sleutelkastje met code werkt perfect. Dit huis is zeker een aanrader voor een groep t/m 6 personen.

Lovely wee place with a great atmosphere very close to lots of beautiful beaches and restaurants, easily accessible via Uber, taxi, transfer etc. the terrace was lovely for the evenings, we didn’t spend much time here but it was perfect for our group. Die Unterkunft sah aus wie auf den Fotos. Viel Platz und eine schöne Dachterrasse. Die Lage ist sehr gut, sodass man alles zu Fuß erreichen kann. Parkplätze sind schwierig zu finden. Leider hatten wir auch ein Problem mit Insekten in der Wohnung. Der Vermieter war aufgrunddessen entgegenkommend bezüglich des Mietpreises. Das Insektenproblem befindet sich wohl aktuell in Behandlung und es ist anzunehmen, dass dies zukünftig behoben werden kann.

Siempre buscamos casas de vacaciones con las mejores notas en limpieza y tenemos fobia a los bichos. La casa estaba limpia, pero parecía un zoo. Cientos de hormigas hasta por los armarios de la cocina, que obligan a meter la comida en la nevera, un día cientos de hormigas voladoras por toda la casa, mosquitas de la humedad que nunca desparecen aunque las mates. Pero lo peor fue encontrar cucarachas en la cama , en los dormitorios, en el pasillo durante varios dias. La solución que nos dieron fue irnos 3 días a otro piso con malísimas notas por ruido para que pudieran dar un tratamiento en el piso. Sin embargo nos dijeron que las cucarachas seguirían saliendo aún después del tratamiento por lo que no aceptamos una solución aún peor que el problema. Al final solo aceptaron abonarnos un 15% de la estancia. Nos estropearon las vacaciones.

La felicidad de nuestros huéspedes es muy importante para nosotros, y nos entristece ver una reseña de 1* después de su estancia. Tomamos esos comentarios muy en serio. Sin embargo, creemos que ha habido un malentendido que hemos intentado aclarar con usted desde el principio. No habría más insectos después de un tratamiento; esa fue su interpretación, no nuestra información. Usted nos mencionó la aparición de algunas cucarachas. Ofrecimos enviar un control de plagas y confirmamos que después de este tratamiento, en las siguientes 4 horas podrían aparecer algunos insectos muertos, por lo que también ofrecimos una limpieza más tarde en el día. Usted lo rechazó basándose en que no nos está permitido entrar mientras usted esté fuera de la casa, y el tratamiento no puede llevarse a cabo con personas dentro. Le ofrecimos una alternativa: una casa adosada disponible a 5 minutos de la suya que estaba vacía durante 3 días. Le ofrecimos quedarse allí durante el tiempo que deseara mientras se realizaban el tratamiento y la limpieza. Aun así, rechazó esa oferta.
En ese punto, confirmamos que nuestros recursos eran limitados si no nos permitía intentar resolver el problema para usted. Por lo tanto, en su lugar, ofrecimos un reembolso del 15% sobre toda la estancia para mostrar que lamentábamos mucho su situación.
Creemos sinceramente que hicimos todo lo posible para mejorar su estancia y nos mantuvimos en contacto con usted en todo momento, ofreciéndole varias soluciones. Una reseña de 1* es devastadora para nuestra propiedad, y esperamos que reconsidere esta reseña.

This place is close to many restaurants and downtown and yet a great distance to get a good night sleep without the busy downtown noise. Loved all the bathrooms for all our guest. The rooftop is beautiful and well lit at night.

Rental Valley é a administradora do imovel. Sao muito eficientes porem cheia de regras e total falta de flexibilidade para check in antecipado ou late check out. A casa é muito menor do que aparenta nas fotos sendo que em um dos quartos a cama de casal fica tao apertada que nao da para passar por tras. No outro quarto com beliche a cama debaixo do beliche nao da para um adulto sentar sem bater a cabeça. Banheiros otimos e toalhas otimas. Localizacao longe da bagunça mas os quartos voltados para a rua com barulho de carros. Janelas nao sao a prova de som. Antes de chegarmos fomos avisados que a torneira da cozinha estava com vazamento que foi prontamente consertada no dia seguinte mas poderiam ter evitado este incomodo em uma vistoria prévia a nossa chegada.

Great Location and very spacious place. The rooftop terrace was great.
The kitchen is very small and was a little under furnished, the large pot has a broken handle making it a little dangerous when draining pasta. The TV channels did not work as the HDMI cable was bent behind the TV causing a bad connection. Communicated with the host the issue and they provided a new cable but it was too large to plug into the connection on the back of the TV. Was informed that they would not address the issue during our stay. The rooftop barbecue had minimal tools, a fork and tongs and nothing to clean up with despite the requirement to do so.

Très joli appartement. Très bien décoré. Petite cour intérieure, et terrasse très as agréable. On peut y dîner et prendre le frais sur le canapé extérieur. Équipement peut être un peu léger dans la cuisine pour les gens aimant cuisiner, mais les restaurants abondent aux alentours ! My family of 5 stayed here in February and absolutely loved this place. Everything was super clean and updated, the place is big, and the outdoor areas are amazing.
The living room did not have centralized heating/cooling like the bedrooms did. They did provide 2 heating units which worked ok, but it was still a little chilly at night. There was a basket full of blankets though which we definitely appreciated.
The bathrooms are completely renovated and beautiful, and the towels provided were nice and big and soft.
The only negative was that the power blew out multiple times during our stay. We were able to get it back on right away by flipping the breakers all but one time, and the hosts did their best to be helpful. However, they did say that we were using too many of the big appliances at the same time, which just wasn't true because the power was going out when no appliances were even in use. Luckily this never happened overnight.
Wine and water left for us was nice treat.

Great price, great location! We loved the rooftop patio. The space is smaller than what the photos depict. Great decor & linens. We loved that each bedroom has its own bathroom & air conditioning- great for 6 people. Great communication should you have any questions. Soaps aren’t provided so bring your own. Overall 5 stars for price, location & cleanliness!

We had a fantastic break away and the house was absolutely perfect for us. We loved the sun terrace and the decor was lovely. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. We loved that it was ready a couple of hours earlier than expected too. We would definitely book this house again if we ever return to Albufeira.

Good location and clean place. Loved the rooftop patio. Didn't provide essentials like they said they would before we left. Was stuck w no shampoo or bodywash for 2 days..limited hand soap too..took a few days to communicate this across only to say its our responsibility to get. On the last day a bag of some essentials showed up.

The property location and amenities were good, but it was infested with ants. We all had ants in our beds, clothes, luggage, and everywhere. If you sat on the couch, ants started crawling on you. I emailed the landlord, and they told me to buy an ant trap, and they would reimburse me for the cost. It was disappointing,

We had an ant problem, it took almost a day for a response from the hosts. We left our reservation early because of the ants and were not provided a refund even though it ruined our food. One of the bathrooms smelled like sewage and we had to keep the door closed to the apartment. It is in a very tight street with nowhere to unload bags, and there is no parking close to the location - we walked about 8 mins from our car to the Airbnb.

This was outside of our normal response hours and we genuinely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delayed response. However, we did respond to your message promptly in the morning, eager to assist in resolving the situation.
Based on the pictures you provided, we noticed the presence of some single ants, but not a significant infestation. Nevertheless, we take any those issue seriously, no matter the size. As part of our efforts to address the problem, we offered to send our team over to investigate further or provide you a compensation for an ant spray for immediate action. Regrettably, all our attempts to assist you were declined by your side, as you expressed your desire to check out immediately.
We want to clarify that our primary goal was to address the ant issue and ensure your comfort during your stay. However, due to the your choice of declining our offered solutions, we were unable to carry out further measures to alleviate the problem. As a result, we regret that we were unable to provide a refund for the affected nights. Please understand that our refund policy allows us to address and resolve issues effectively, but it requires cooperation between both parties.
Regarding the issue of sewage smell in one of the bathrooms, we are deeply sorry for this unpleasant experience. But even this was not mentioned by your side during your stay, so we had no chance to help out again! We assure you that we have taken your feedback seriously, and our maintenance team went to the property but were unable to detect any problem.
Regarding the location of our property, we have received positive feedback from many guests who appreciate the charm and authenticity of the Portuguese architecture. Our listing does mention the location and while we understand that it may have been challenging for you, this aspect has not been raised as an issue by any other guests in the past.
Despite the issues you faced, we would like to emphasize that we value our guests' satisfaction above all else. I am sure this situation was a learning for both parties.

I mistakenly arrived a day early and Rental Valley was super helpful and empathetic, they helped find alternatives and didn't brush me off at all. I loved that two of the three bedrooms had their own bathroom! The terrace was a nice place to end the night. Overall a great stay.

Great place, a little loud as it’s on a surprisingly busy compact road. However, in terms of location vs business, absolutely amazing. Beautiful inside, the terrace is amazing and the bathrooms are all great. There were 3 of us when we stayed and it was absolutely perfect for us.

Had a fantastic time in Casa de sonhos. Lovely house, everything was pristine and very central location. Very spacious living area, well equipped kitchen and nice roof top terrace. Easy to walk to the beach and many restaurants. Close to the lively area in the old town but not too close to keep you awake. We were two couples and had plenty of space, would comfortably fit 6 people.

We had a great stay. The apartment was modern, big and had a lot of bathrooms. The house looks really nice from the outside, as well as the inside. We loved the big roof terrace. The beds were really comfortable. The apartment is near the centre of the old town but far away enough for a quiet stay. The beach is very close by.

Een mooi gerestaureerd huisje op een perfecte locatie in het oude centrum. Alles was zoals beloofd. Goed schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Prima grootte voor het gebruik tot vier personen. Parkeren in de directe omgeving bleek een uitdaging te zijn maar op 10 min lopen voldoende ruimte op een openbare en gratis parkeerplaats. Zeker de moeite waard om te huren!
