The neighborhood
The townhouse is located in a calm neighbourhood at the entrance of Sagres town. The house is 400 m from the Intermarché supermarket; 400m from the restaurant "Meridian"; the surf shop 400 m; the bicycle rental shop 400 m; 1000m from the centre of Sagres (Pharmacy, Market, shops, restaurants, bars, health centre, post office, etc.)
Getting around
There are several buses a day going to and from Sagres (the nearest bus stop at 100 m from the bus stop (Sagres- Sítio do Poço), but to get around,d a hire car is recommended. You can park one car in the private parking spot in front of the house. Further shared parking spots are available.
By car, it's 15 km to the "Golf Santo António" course, 30 km to Lagos, 50 km to the "Slide & Splash" water park, 90 km to Faro airport, 350 km to Lisbon airport and 350 km to Seville.

The checkin and checkout is super easy and flexible due to a key box at the entrance.
One thing to mention: during our 10-day stay, there was no complimentary change of towels or bed linen. A change would have cost €50, which seemed a bit high, so we decided to do the laundry ourselves at a laundromat.
The kitchen was great to use, maybe a bit more equipment (e.g. a water jug ) would be nice.
The location is great - right on the edge of the town. It’s a bit of a walk to the center if you're on foot, but only a five-minute drive by car.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. :)

Erster Tiefschlag: Weniger die Wohnung selbst betreffend sondern den Verwalter Rental Valley. Dieser hat es augenscheinlich geschafft seinen eigenen Booking-Account hacken zu lassen, mit der Folge, dass in der Booking-App (!) Scam Attacken erfolgten und noch schlimmer meine persönlichen Daten abgeflossen sind. Das hatte zur Konsequenz, dass ich kurz vor Anreise noch per WhatsApp auf meine Telefonnummer mit persönlicher Ansprache und den Buchungsdaten gescamt wurde. Wer hier weniger achtsam gewesen wäre, hätte hier sicher Geld verloren/ Bankdaten preisgegeben! Alles mehr als unschön und ein NoGo. Ich hatte schon so viel Vertrauen verloren, dass ich der ganzen Buchungen misstraut habe- hier konnte jedoch Booking.com bestätigen, dass es sich um einen Anbieter handelt. Meine DSGVO Auskunft ist noch anhängig…
Zweite Enttäuschung vor Ort: Bei Übernahme war der Bungalow bestenfalls oberflächlich gereinigt: dreckige Armaturen, Sandhaufen (!) unter dem Teppich, krümeliger Schrank, alte Kapsel in der Nespresso und Ameisen in der Küche… Nach einer 6 Std-Anfahrt mit kleinem Kind und einer Übernahme „frühestens ab 16 Uhr“, haben wir kurzerhand 2 Std selbst geputzt. Zumindest dafür ist alles da, inkl. Staubsauger. Nach mehrfachem Hin und Her hat man uns 50€ angeboten- bei 115€ Gebühr für eine Endreinigung, schade und meines Erachtens unzureichend. Nach diesen Dramen zu Anfang hatten wir dann noch eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft- nicht zuletzt dank des perfektem portugiesischen Wetters.

Un peu excentré du centre-ville, ce qui permet d'etre au calme. Les plages, commerces et restaurants restent proches dans un perimetre de 5min en voiture.
Nous nous sommes sentis tous les 4 à l'aise de suite. Je recommande vivement!
Par ailleurs, bonne communication avec l'agence.

Ein weiteres Highlight war der Pool, der alle zwei Tage gereinigt wurde. Den wir aber nicht genutzt haben.
Der Kontakt mit den Gastgebern war außergewöhnlich gut – super nett, schnell und hilfsbereit.
Außerdem gibt es im Ort viele schöne Restaurants, die wir gerne besucht haben.
Ein paar kleinere Nachteile gab es: Wenn die Sonne nicht scheint, wird das Wasser nicht richtig warm, und der Pool war insgesamt kalt. Außerdem liegt die Unterkunft an einer Straße, was nicht ganz ideal ist.
Trotzdem überwiegen die positiven Aspekte deutlich, und wir können die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen! :)

Liegt in der Natur am Stadtrand, für die Bars werden abends ein Auto benötigt. Leider hat die Unterkunft keine schränke… Auch keine Waschmaschine…

Mit einer Familie kann man sich sehr wohl fühlen. Der Außenbereich ist schön begrünt und im Haus findet man alles, was man fürs tägliche Leben braucht. Etwas mehr Stauraum für die Kleidung wäre nicht schlecht gewesen, aber ansonsten war wir zufrieden.

perfectly clean and comfortable.
nice big yard.
perfect for kids.
we had everything we needed.
very clean and big towels.
7 min by car is cabo de sao vicente which is perfect for sunset watching.
alfubeira is around 1 hour by toll road or 1,5 by free road.
lagos around 35 min
there were just 2 flaws:
dirty pool ( i guess it was because of the strong wind the day earlier)
the bed in master bedroom is two single matrases

Die Mitarbeiter waren ständig erreichbar.
Zu kleiner Kochbereich. Keine Waschmaschine. Der 2. Duschschlauch wurde erst am 4. Tag gebracht. Schlecht geputzt… überall Spinnweben. Poolboy ist cool, jedoch nicht unangemeldet. Er kann auch vorher klingeln.

Die Anlage ist kurz vor Sagres, man braucht schon das Auto um die Umgebung zu erkunden.

A lot of things are positive:
- Rental Valley is always available if a problem occurs. The are very motivated to help immediately.
- The apartment is well equipped, also for cleaning in between. There is a lot of space for food storage, a big fridge and freezer.
- Great garden
What was a little bit of a downside was that there is no hot water on cloudy or rainy days. We stayed in the wintertime and sometimes had for days no hot water because of the solar system. The mechanic tried to find a solution but couldn‘t fix it.
Plus the beds are too soft.
All in all we enjoyed the stay. Thanks a lot again!

Das einzige Problem war dass das Haus vor übergabe schlecht kontrolliert war. Zwei Türen konnten nicht geschlossen werden, Duschabfluss war verstopft, Toaster verursachte Stromausfall, Sesselschrauben waren locker, zwei Glühbirnen funktionieren nicht und es gab Innen und Außen sehr viele Spinnweben.
Das sind in Summe sehr viele Kleinigkeiten und alle wurden nach der Meldung freundlich und rasch behoben.
Eine Kontrolle davor wäre natürlich etwas angenehmer gewesen.
Ansonsten alles top, gemütlich und ruhig mit sehr schönem Garten.

Es war sauber, die Lage war gut, es gab keinen Straßenlärm trotz der Nähe zur Hauptstraße, die Küche war super ausgestattet (alles da, was man braucht) und wir haben es sehr genossen.
Leicht zu bemängeln ist die Lautstärke des Pool-Filters. Dieser befindet sich direkt angrenzend zur Terasse und gab ein ständiges, lautes Brummen von sich, was die Idylle und Ruhe beeinflusst.
Ansonsten handelt es sich um eine super Unterkunft!

Viele sehr schöne Strände in der Nähe, alles sehr gut erreichbar.
Nur die Sauberkeit der Unterkunft fällt deutlich ab: Haare im Badezimmer, Essensreste im Kühlschrank, nur sehr oberflächlich geputzt, verdreckter Grill…trotz unseres Hinweise wurde keine Reinigung durchgeführt, sehr schade.

On the edge of town, so car is useful, although in walkable distances to beaches and restaurants.
Great base for exploring the coastlines north and east of Sagres.

The mattresses were too soft (hammock-like almost...) for our liking.
Some parts of the apartment already very worn out - e.g. silicone in bathrooms, sofa, old/non-functioning hairdryer crammed into basinet with wires hanging out (?!) - although the apartment seems new.
Only very basic utensils (e.g. 3 big spoons, one red wine glass ) in the kitchen.
In general, we enjoyed our stay and can recommend it though. It was a nice, relaxing time. Thank you :)

Die große begehbare Dusche in dem einen Bad war sehr schön.
Die Filteranlage vom Pool ist doch etwas laut, läuft zwar nur tagsüber, ist aber auch Dauer etwas nervig. Die Kochtöpfe etc. waren nicht wirklich sauber. Der Pool müsste auch besser gereinigt werden, teilweise etwas grünlich. Die Anlage scheint teilweise ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen zu sein. Aber man darf nicht alles mit deutschen Standards vergleichen. Liegt vielleicht auch daran, dass hier die Anlage nicht von einem privaten Besitzer geführt wird.
