The space
This amazing villa in Vale da Telha is the perfect place for surf ehnthusiastics. Located near three beautiful surf spots, it’s ideal for catching waves by day and relaxing at the villa in the evening.
Walk through the front door and step into this amazing home. On your left there is a comfortable lounge and on your right there is the sun-filled living room that flows out to the private pool area through sliding French doors that showcases the gorgeous surroundings. Head through to the fully equipped kitchen and cosy dining area equipped with everything you need. Down the central corridor, you'll find two spacious double bedrooms, each with air conditioning. Between these bedrooms there is a stylish bathroom with a bathtub and overhead shower. Additionally, there is the master bedroom which is located at the back of the property, it features an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Step outside and you will be amazed by the spacious and beautiful garden with a private swimming pool, perfect to refresh and soaking up the Algarve sun. For those with a green thumb, there’s a garden shed and additional space for gardening projects. The patio, just off the lounge and kitchen, is perfect for outdoor dining and to end your day with drinks under the stars.

The neighborhood
Located on the western coast of the Algarve and nestled within the Vicentina National Park, Vale da Telha is a sought after destination for young families, surfers, and nature lovers alike. The area is popular due to its unspoiled rugged coastline, clean beaches, temperate weather, and natural environment. The beaches of Arrifana and Monte Clerigo are 5-10 minutes by car. The area offers an array of restaurants, cafes, and 2 mini-supermarkets on its doorstep. The town of Aljezur is 10 minutes by car and has everything for day to day living including a health centre and 2 state schools. To further enhance the education offer there are 2 international schools, Aljezur International School and Story Forest. Faro airport is conveniently located 1 hour 15 minutes by car.
Getting around
From Faro Airport it takes you about 80 minutes by car to get to Vale da Telha. If you want to explore the area, a car is recommended as public transport is only available to Aljezur town but not up to Vale da Telha. Parking is free and abundant everywhere in this area.

We had a nice time there, the house is big, it had all we needed, close to Aljezur, nice restaurants close by and amazing beaches. Good bathrooms, nice water pressure and hot water even when having 6 showers one after the other. The swimming pool is great, great outdoor space, nice to dine outside and spend time outside just as we were looking for. The only thing was that they were very slow to respond. We did not have anything to report so it did not affect us but we had doubts about the check out and no one replied to my call or text. But for sure it was a great summer holiday and this minor absence to reply did not affect the wonderful time we had there.

La ubicación es muy buena y el pueblo tiene los sevicios que necesitas. La zona exterior de la casa está muy completa y dispone de todo para hacer vida. La TV es una pantalla. No hay canales de TV. Sólo la puedes usar de pantalla siempre que conectes un dispositivo tuyo. No se avisa de que funciona así.
El lavavajillas no funcionaba y tuvieron que venir a arreglarlo.
Faltaban bombillas en diversas lámparas.

A casa tem um espaço muito agradável e amplo, com zona de refeições junto à piscina. A cozinha está bem equipada e a casa, de uma forma geral, está bem decorada. É um local tranquilo, para descansar. O esquentador não funcionou bem e tomamos banho de água fria. Há muitas melgas.

Die Unterkunft ist mit ihren 3 Schlafzimmern und 3 Bädern sehr großzügig eingerichtet. Ganz nach dem Titel der Unterkunft sind unzählige coole Affenskulpturen im Haus verteilt. Besonders gut hat uns der Pool gefallen, der zwar nicht beheizt ist, sich aber während des Tages schön durch die Sonnenbestrahlung aufheizt. Am ersten Tag war auch der Poolservice vor Ort und hat den Pool gereinigt. Auch die Gartenanlage mit Hängematte und diversen Sitzgelegenheiten ist sehr ansprechend gestaltet. Obwohl wir schon im Mai dort waren, konnte man es nicht lange in der Sonne aushalten. Leider war der vorhandene Sonnenschirm defekt, (Kurbel drehte durch) so mussten wir uns ins Haus zurückziehen, Es waren viele Gewürze und Öle zum Kochen vorhanden, allerdings waren einige davon schon länger abgelaufen. Hier sollten die Vermieter, einfach mal aussortieren.
Aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau, ansonsten war alles da und schön.

The property is great for a family stay, they have everything you need. The pool was clean on arrival. Beds were comfy and the location is ideal to visit all the local beaches, which are stunning. Check in and out was super easy. Value was good considering it can sleep 6 people. We would definitely stay here again! There are a few issues that need fixing…
The gas boiler for hot water needs to be looked at and serviced asap! it constantly shows error message. You have to reset the boiler everytime you need to use hot water which is very annoying. We actually had no hot water for one evening and morning…
The net to clean the pool is totally broken so it’s very hard to clean the pool each day before using it, therefore it is full of bugs and debris.
The canopy by the outdoor area next to pool is broken… so you’re unable to sit outside at the table to have lunch or dinner as there is no protection from the sun which was disappointing.
If these are fixed it is good value for money, it with these issues I feel it’s over priced.

A casa correspondeu às nossas expectativas, inserida num local calmo e tranquilo. Está muito bem equipada. Tivemos que pedir ajuda em relação à caldeira e alguns outros contratempos, que foram resolvidos de imediato com a ajuda técnica, que aproveito para salientar, foi de excelência! Schönes Haus & bequeme Betten. Schöner Pool, allerdings hatten wir uns mehr vom Garten erhofft. Gut ausgestattete Küche und schöne Einrichtung. Lage an sich in Ordnung, allerdings an einer der mehr befahrenen Straßen in Vale da Telha, sodass man eigentlich permanent Autolärm hat. Leider ging die Klimaanlage im Wohnzimmer nicht und wir hatten ca 8 Tage kein warmes Wasser, da es irgendein Problem mit dem Boiler gab. Als wir das meldeten, wurde das Problem schnell behoben.

Had a great experience at Casa Monkey Business. The place is perfectly situated between Aljezur and the beach, and was a great home for our weekend stay. Communication was quick and efficient, and the place was comfortable. Would come again!

The place is well located, spacious, and matches the photos. Easy to get to and lots of surf spots nearby. The only downside is that the TV didn’t really work for us (only the YouTube app worked). Other than that the hosts were easy to communicate with.

A localização, piscina, bem equipada com tudo o que precisas. Tivemos um problema com falta de gás que afetou os banhos e cozinhar ( mas foi resolvido no dia seguinte e reembolsaram a refeição no restaurante, pelo que um elogio à equipe que gere o mesmo)

Prostorný dům ve skvělé klidné lokalitě, kousek na pláž, dobré kafe i pizzu. Nadstandartně vybavená kuchyně, velikost ložnic tak akorát. Na náš krátký pobyt nám nic nechybělo :). Zahrada a vybavení potřebuje výraznou investici, některé lavičky a zahrandí židle jsou v dezolátním stavu, rozpadající se. Krásný pozemek, je škoda ho nevyužít lépe a kvalitněji.
Třetí největší ložnice má velmi nepohodlnou postel, nejen úzkou pro dva lidi, ale matrace je velmi pérovací a nepohodlná.

La casa en general está muy bien, es amplia, con mucha luz, la zona de la piscina está muy bien acondicionada. La ubicación es muy buena entre dos playas. Eso sí, o coges coche o haces ejercicio pues no están para ir dando un paseo. Las toallas y la ropa de cama una maravilla. El olor a humedad en algunos muebles de madera que hay en la casa. Me faltó tener a mano una fregona y una balleta en los baños para mantenerlos un poco. La cama muy dura para mí gusto.

Casa Monkey Business was perfect for our stay. Clean, tidy and a very well equipped kitchen and large fridge. Although it was early season we used the pool and it was well maintained. The beds were comfy and sheets and towels spotless. We were visiting friends who live in the area so it was perfect location for us and we hired a car to get about which was essential. We hope to come back!
