The space

The apartment features two bedrooms, two bathrooms (including one en-suite), and a spacious open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area. The neighborhood
Located in the center of Praia da Luz, the apartment is conveniently close to all local amenities including a beautiful sandy beach with seaside cafes and restaurants along a pedestrian promenade. Additionally, two supermarkets are within easy walking distance for those fresh morning croissants on the balcony.
Consider taking a local bus to the historic town of Lagos, rich in Portuguese heritage, or explore the charming fishing village of Burgau nearby. Praia da Luz is an excellent base for surfing enthusiasts with some of the best beaches in the Algarve close by. The area is also ideal for cliff path walking, offering stunning coastal views.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.
You can park for free in Luz. Parking in front of the apartment is not always available in summer, but there will be plenty of space in the surrounding streets.

Convenient location – just under 10 minutes' walk to the beach.
Two small supermarkets nearby to meet basic daily needs.
Well-equipped interior with all necessary facilities.
Fully stocked kitchen with a wide range of appliances and utensils.
Most essential seasonings and condiments are provided.
Cons (minor suggestions for improvement):
The heated towel rail in the bathroom has noticeable rust stains, which made us hesitant to use it for hanging clothes. As there were no other hanging options available, we had to return to the bedroom to get dressed after showering.
There were no user instructions for the appliances. For instance, the oven’s control panel was quite worn, making it difficult to read the settings and understand how to operate it properly.
We were unable to figure out how to switch on the overhead showerhead, so we could only use the handheld one. A simple guide or instruction sheet would have been helpful.

Many of kitchen utensils not fit for purpose. Iron & clothes airer & heated towel rails in bathrooms need replacing.
Serious condensation problems in both bedrooms
Option of having apartment serviced for long stay visitors should be offered when booking.

La cocina está muy bien equipada, e incluso había algunas cosas que tienes que acabar comprando en el súper (lavavajillas, sal, aceite, condimentos para cocinar...).
Se puede aparcar en la misma puerta.
La terraza es genial y el sitio es muy tranquilo. Si quieres ir a la playa caminando hay cuesta, pero vale la pena.
Repetiría sin dudar.
Al alojamiento no le puedo poner ninguna pega. Como mucho comentar que nos costó un poco llegar una vez allí porque Google no se aclaraba con la dirección.

O prédio é tranquilo e tem estacionamento disponível. O sistema de som na sala com possibilidade de ligação por bluetooth ao telemóvel permitiu criar um ambiente relaxado e envolvente.
A apreciação global é bastante positiva.

The Apartment is as described and meets the local standards. Some things looks a bit used, but for the price and the size of the Apartment this is acceptable.
The size of the Apartment is huge and easily fits 4 people.
Breakfast on the balcony with sun and sea view is really the highlight.
Easy parking in front of the house.

Geschirr in den Schränken war nicht sauber und bitte mehr Besteck und Klopapier bereitstellen.
Ein Handtuch mehr wär auch super bei längeren Aufenthalt.
Waschmaschine bitte mal Grund reinigen.

An apartment is big and very clean, modern style (5*!). There is everything you might need while your visit. Quiet place, perfect for relax. Nice view for ocean. Room service is doing perfect job, there deserve for a tip. They're helpfull.
It is not far from the beach, shops (very nice service in markets), restaurants (waiters are helpfull, nice,good). Local foods are delicious.
BIG RECCOMENDATION !!!

Eine Teekanne fehlt. Wohin mit dem heißen Wasser vom Wasserkocher? Bei der Dusche lief das Wasser kaum ab.
Die Bettwäsche war nachdem wir es nochmals gewaschen haben deutlich sauberer.
Trotzdem haben wir uns in dem Apartment wohl gefühlt. Die Deckenlautsprecher und die Bluetoothanlage sind echt der Hit.

The balcony is excellent offering a choice of sun or shade through the day, although the view of the ocean is limited by other properties.
My wife and I are both aged 70 and my wife has some physical limitation due to Parkinson's.
The walk in showers are great for the active and fit but there was no rail or slip proof mat for anyone less able.
There were a couple of important equipment issues which should have been sorted before we arrived but Rental Valley were helpful and resolved the situation reasonably quickly.
I have sent particulars to Rental Valley under separate cover so hopefully they will act on them.
Also some areas could have been cleaner.
I don't know how much the flat has been used - we've all suffered the effects of the pandemic but the bedding felt damp and it has been difficult to make it feel comfortable. I think the property has good potential but needs a detailed review from owner and agent to raise the rating.
We have enjoyed our stay in Luz but feel that with a bit more attention to detail before we arrived it could have been better.
