Casa Tamar is a lovely little townhouse in the center of Lagos's historical and vibrant old city.Perfect for a couple or a small group of friends traveling together, wanting to explore Lagos authentically and magically.
The house is fully renovated and located in the historical part of the city, known for its picturesque streets, churches, museums, coffee shops, bars, and diverse culinary. The house is located in a quiet street, with parking areas on the street and a free parking space within walking distance.
The house has a living room, spacious bedroom, bathing room, fully equipped kitchen balcony, and outdoor dining area, where you can enjoy the sunny weather of Lagos. In the living room, you will find two sofas, a smart TV, Netflix, free Wifi, and a speaker for music lovers. The king-sized bed has a quality mattress for perfect sleep, various pillows, and a storage space.
The bathing room and shower are spacious and clean. We also offer a washing machine for guests' use.
A fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook yourself the perfect meal, from an oven to an electric stove to a coffee machine and a large refrigerator.
You will also find our dreamy balcony with outdoor furniture and an outdoor shower, perfect for the surfers who visit where they can store their surfing gear safely while exploring the city.
The house is located 5 min walk from the main avenue and the marina. It is easy to get to Lagos's beautiful beaches and other points of interest.The house is located on a quiet street, in a safe neighborhood, close to the markets and bakeries—for a sweet start to your day.
In the house you will also find towels, clean linen, toilet paper, new electric furnisher, fully equipped kitchen - everything you can think about for your perfect vacation. The neighborhood
This townhouse is located inside the walls of the old city of Lagos so you will have many shops, restaurants and bars just around the corner! The street itself is a quiet residential street with very little motorised traffic as only a handful of residents are allowed to park here. Guests can easily park at several free parking areas just outside the city wall, 5 minutes walking from the house.
The nearest beach by foot is Batata beach, located next to the town center. Meia Praia is located just behind the marina, about 20 minutes by foot, but easily accessible by car, taxi and tourist train as well, just like the famous beaches/cliff areas of Praia Dona Ana, Ponte de Piedade and Praia de Porto de Mos.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical centre full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs, and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical centre, great food and friendly people. It is located on the coast. You can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport, and car rental is available in the airport's parking lot. By train, it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast), but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car, and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you want to explore the larger Algarve area, a (rental) car is recommended.
