The space
Ideaal gelegen in het hart van het oude dorp Burgau en op nog geen minuut loopafstand van het prachtige strand en de ruime keuze aan dorpsrestaurants om de hoek. Vivenda mar à vista is een karakteristiek herenhuis, verdeeld in twee appartementen, elk met hun eigen onafhankelijke privé-ingang.
Het appartement met één slaapkamer bevindt zich op de eerste verdieping en heeft een eigen ingang aan de zijkant van het huis. Dit appartement biedt een mooie woonruimte verbonden aan een privé balkon waar u overdag van het uitzicht kunt genieten. En een grote slaapkamer met een kingsize bed (2 maal 90x200), en een aparte badkamer.
Dit smaakvol ingerichte appartement biedt alles voor een uitje naar Burgau. Inclusief gratis onbeperkt WIFI. Een volledig uitgeruste keuken met een keramische kookplaat, magnetron, koffiezetapparaat, waterkoker, broodrooster, granieten werkbladen.

The neighborhood
Burgau is een rustig vissersdorpje, gelegen tussen Lagos en Sagres. Beschut tegen de wind door de kliffen aan een kleine inham ligt het mooie Praia do Burgau. Het is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor een ontspannen strandvakantie of het verkennen van de prachtige westelijke Algarve. Het heeft een aantal geweldige restaurants en bars met uitzicht op zee, en er zijn verschillende andere mooie stranden in de omgeving om te verkennen. Als jouw idee van de perfecte vakantie is om te ontspannen in de zon en te zwemmen in de zee, dan zal dit dorp alles bieden wat je hartje begeert.
Drie golfbanen liggen binnen 15 minuten rijden, evenals veel van de beste surfstranden van de Algarve. Slechts 8 kilometer van de historische stad Lagos met zijn levendige nachtleven, bruisende jachthaven en een grote verscheidenheid aan winkels, cafés en restaurants. Andere dingen om te doen in de omgeving zijn surfen, vissen, duiken, golfen, tennissen en wandelen.
Getting around
Er is weliswaar openbaar vervoer in de omgeving, maar dat is beperkt. Als je de omgeving echt wilt verkennen, maakt een (huur)auto je leven een stuk gemakkelijker. Overal in en rond de stad kun je gratis op straat parkeren.

I think the photos of the balcony should be updated to reflect the real view now as there is a new building now built which obscures the sea view which is the real view now and not the view which are shown on the website. Please be truthful with this information. Parking is free but quite hard up get ,obviously we were here in high season so ended up having to park a bit away from the apartment . We didn’t cook so can’t say how the cooking facilities were as we didn’t use the kitchen area .

Die Unterkunft hatte einen keine Wäscheleine/Wäscheständer was ein wenig mühsam war. Der Balkon war ein wenig kleiner als wir ihn uns vorgestellt haben.

Definitely a great location right next to the beach, and no difficulty in finding parking. Great places to eat that we could walk to. The apartment was clean overall with everything listed in the packet we received in an email beforehand, just remember to buy soap for the shower!

There is ongoing construction immediately in front of the unit , which has blocked the sea view from the balcony. It is extremely noisy and dusty, which meant that we didn't have use of the balcony, we couldn't open any windows and we had no quiet downtime in the unit between 8am and 7pm. Note also that the bed is a double bed, not 2 singles. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge.

O apartamento já não conta com vista mar pois está em construção um prédio mesmo em frente.
Viajei para descansar e foi impossível com o barulho das obras desde as 08h00 as 17h00.
A vista já não existe para o mar
E o wi fi é horrível não consegui trabalhar com o WiFi

Lamentablemente el departamento está rodeado por dos obras en construccióna escasos 3mts de distancia.
Los obreros trabajaban de 8 a 19hs, por lo que a las 8am ya había ruidos de martillos, fierros, gritos.
De saberlo de antemano no hubiese reservado.
No pude trabajar remotamente debido al ruido, tampoco dormir más allá de las 8am, ni volver a almorzar.
El ruido es ensordecedodor.

The apartment had different things one might need for a beach (towels, big umbrella, etc.)
It has a kitchen with all amenities which we used to prepare our meals.
The village itself is very peaceful and beautiful, which is much better than staying in Lagos, with good small grocery shops and bakery. There is public transportation in the village to Lagos and other cities, as well as hiking trails.
There was only one disadvantage to the accommodation- the hosts where unresponsive to our messages during our stay.
Overall, this is a very nice accommodation that we enjoyed, although it would be better if communication improved.

The key was not there as mentioned prior to our arrival, but we found it easily.
Only the picture about the house allowed to identify the address.
The appart is nice, well situated, quite and clean. It took a while until I understood that the water heating was not switched on at our arrival. The shower tube was broken, but in a certain position we could use it w/out any issue.
The house is managed by a company, we missed the flexibility and the direct contact ( each time an other person responded), but we got fair and prompt reply.

Sauber war es größtenteils, vielleicht hier und da mal ein paar Kleinigkeiten.
Perfekt für einen entspannten Standurlaub mit guter Bus-Anbindung an die nächst-größere Stadt.
