Salt air, Atlantic light, and the sound of nothing but wind through the garden. Swallow House sits in the peaceful urbanisation of Vale da Telha, with two of the Algarve's finest surf beaches a short drive away and the wild Costa Vicentina nature reserve on your doorstep.
The space
Swallow House is a single-level holiday home of 90m², set within a shared garden with a pool, beach volleyball pitch, and pétanque court.
You enter through the dining area. To the right, the living room has a wood-burning fireplace and opens onto the terrace. To the left, a light-filled winter garden with sofas and surfboards gives the space a relaxed, coastal feel. The kitchen runs alongside it, fully equipped for everything from a quick lunch to a proper dinner.
Beyond the kitchen, the house continues into the sleeping wing. The first bedroom has a queensize bed and looks out onto the garden. The second bedroom has two single beds and shares this wing with the bathroom, which has an Italian shower and toilet. Both rooms have mosquito nets on the windows and manual shutters.
In the evening, the garden wraps around you in all directions, and the shared pool catches the last of the north-west light.

➤ Swallow House works best for families or responsible adults. The property is part of a small residential neighbourhood, and we care about the people around us. Parties and other disturbances are not accepted. If you are unsure whether this fits your travel plans, please get in touch before booking.
➤ Kids and babies are welcome. A travel cot and highchair are available on request - please let us know when booking.

The neighborhood
Vale da Telha is a quiet residential village set inside the Costa Vicentina nature reserve, one of the most protected stretches of coastline in Europe. The area has a handful of restaurants, a bar, and a small supermarket within the village for daily essentials.
Two beaches make this corner of the Algarve worth the drive. Monte Clérigo is around 10 minutes away: a wide, relatively sheltered arc of sand backed by cliffs, popular with families. Arrifana is a little further, around 14 minutes - a dramatic horseshoe bay with a strong swell that draws surfers from across Europe. Both are well worth visiting on different days.
The historic town of Aljezur, with a weekly market, a Moorish castle, supermarkets, and a wider range of restaurants, is around 15 minutes by car. Lagos, with its old town and marina, is around 35 minutes south.
Getting around
A car is recommended for this location. Vale da Telha has no public transport connections of its own. Faro Airport is around 80 minutes by car. Lagos is around 35 minutes. Private parking for up to three cars is included, with free street parking available outside as well.
