Welcome to Solara Ocean Retreat, your sunny Algarve escape just steps from Porto de Mós Beach. The space
Solara Ocean Retreat is a ground-floor apartment of 125m², set within a quiet residential building in the Porto de Mós neighbourhood of Lagos.
You enter into an open living and dining area, bright and spacious, with air conditioning and direct access to the south-facing garden and patio. To the left is a fully equipped kitchen, which also opens onto the north-east facing balcony — large enough for a breakfast table and six chairs, a good spot for morning coffee before the day begins.
A hallway leads to the sleeping areas. The first bedroom has a double bed and its own access to the north-east balcony. Next to it, the second bedroom has two single beds that can be pushed together to make a double, and also opens onto the balcony. A bathroom with shower and WC serves both rooms. At the far end, the main bedroom has a king-size bed, an ensuite bathroom with bath and WC, and direct access to the south-facing garden and patio.
All three bedrooms and the living area have individual air conditioning units.
Outside, guests share access to a communal pool and garden. The pool is outdoor and unheated, with no cover and no fence.
Mornings here have a certain ease to them — coffee on the balcony, the Atlantic not far off, the day entirely yours.

The neighborhood
Porto de Mós is a quiet residential area on the edge of Lagos, sitting just above one of the Algarve's most distinctive beaches. Praia do Porto de Mós is a long sweep of golden sand backed by limestone cliffs, open to the Atlantic. It tends to be less crowded than the beaches in the heart of Lagos, and attracts families, locals, and surfers who appreciate the space. Two restaurants sit directly on the sand: O António for traditional seafood, and Campimar for a more modern take with tables on the oceanfront terrace.
From the beach, a clifftop trail leads east towards Ponta da Piedade, one of the most recognisable stretches of coastline in Portugal. The walk is moderately easy and the views are worth every step, especially in the late afternoon light.
The centre of Lagos — with its old town, marina, restaurants, and weekly market — is a short drive away.
Getting around
A car is convenient for this location, though the beach is within walking distance of the apartment. Lagos town centre is around 10 minutes by car, or reachable by local bus (line 2, which stops near the beach). Faro Airport is approximately 1 hour by car. Lagos train and bus stations connect to Portimão, Faro, and Lisbon.

➤ Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment. Smoking is permitted on the balconies.
