Casa Horizonte - Old Town Lagos

The space

Casa Horizonte is a 60m² apartment on the third floor of a building in the heart of Lagos old town. The apartment sleeps up to 5 adults: 4 across the two bedrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living room.

You enter through a hallway. On the left, the living room has its own air conditioning, a sofa bed, and opens onto a small balcony. Across the hallway is the kitchen, fully equipped with oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, and toaster, with a desk area with a fan at the back and a small storage space housing the washing machine.

Further along the hallway, one bedroom on the left has two single beds zipped together into one bed. Opposite, the second bedroom has a queensize double bed (160cm). Both bedrooms have their own air conditioning. At the end of the hallway is the bathroom, with a shower and toilet.

Step onto the balcony in the evening and the old town rooftops stretch out below you.

Street parking is available in the surrounding streets, though not directly outside the building.

➤ Casa Horizonte works best for couples, or two couples travelling together, with the sofa bed available for a fifth adult. The apartment is on the third floor with no elevator, reached via stairs, and the two bedrooms share one bathroom. The fifth guest sleeps in the open living room, so it suits a group comfortable sharing that space.

The neighborhood

Casa Horizonte sits in the old town of Lagos, just below Castelo de Lagos, with the marina, Praça Gil Eanes, and a wide choice of restaurants and cafés within a few minutes on foot.

Praia da Batata, Lagos' town beach, is a short walk from the apartment along the harbour promenade, tucked beneath the old fortress walls. It's a sheltered, calm beach, popular for an easy swim before or after a walk around the old town.

The old town itself has supermarkets, bakeries, and pharmacies within walking distance.

Getting around

Lagos old town is fully walkable, and a car isn't necessary for beach days or exploring the town itself. Faro Airport is around 1 hour by car. Lagos has its own train and bus station, with connections along the Algarve coast and to Lisbon, though services run less frequently than in a larger hub.
