Casa Coelha is a ground-floor apartment in Sesmarias, close to the coast and within reach of some of the Algarve's most scenic stretches of sand.

The space

Casa Coelha is a ground-floor apartment of 78m², set within a condominium development in Sesmarias, between Albufeira and Galé.

The living and dining area is open to the kitchen, with a TV and air conditioning. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and wine glasses. Sliding doors from the living room open directly onto the south-facing terrace, where there is a dining table and BBQ, with views over the condominium's gardens.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed and air conditioning. Bedroom 2 has two single beds and air conditioning. The apartment has one bathroom with a bath, shower, and WC.

The condominium has a shared outdoor pool set in mature landscaped gardens with palms and lawn. The pool is unfenced.

The neighborhood

Sesmarias is a quiet residential area on the western edge of Albufeira, tucked between the N125 and the Atlantic coast. The pace here is noticeably calmer than Albufeira's old town, while still being close to everything the coast offers.

Praia da Coelha is a short drive away: a sheltered Blue Flag cove between golden sandstone cliffs, with a beach café and lifeguard service in season. The walk down from the car park through olive and carob trees is part of the experience. Nearby beaches include Praia do Castelo to the west and Praia de São Rafael to the east, each with its own character.

For a special dinner, Vila Joya in Galé holds two Michelin stars and has held them since 1999 — one of Portugal's most celebrated dining destinations, a short drive from the apartment. For everyday needs, Albufeira's supermarkets and town centre are reachable in around 15 minutes by car.

Getting around

A car is recommended for this location. Sesmarias is served by an infrequent bus connection, but most guests drive. Faro Airport is approximately 30 km away. Albufeira Marina is around 10 minutes by car. Street parking is available in the area, with private parking included at the condominium.
