The neighborhood
Der Yachthafen befindet sich auf der anderen Seite der Unterkunft und bietet alles, was Sie brauchen: Restaurants, Bars mit Live-Musik und einen großen Supermarkt. Die Altstadt mit vielen Geschäften, Künstlern und charmanten traditionellen Häusern ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt.
Lagos ist das perfekte Urlaubsziel mit einem lebendigen historischen Zentrum voller Geschäfte, (Super-)Märkte, einem Yachthafen, Bars und Restaurants. Die Stadt ist bekannt für ihre atemberaubenden Klippen, die man am besten bei einer Boots-, Kajak- oder SUP-Tour vom Wasser aus besichtigt. Die Stadt hat ein malerisches historisches Zentrum, gutes Essen und freundliche Menschen. Da die Stadt an der Küste liegt, können Sie verschiedene Wassersportarten wie Surfen und Segeln ausüben. In dieser Gegend gibt es viele Aktivitäten für alle Altersgruppen und Vorlieben.
Getting around
Lagos ist vom Flughafen Faro aus in etwa einer Stunde mit dem Auto zu erreichen; eine Autovermietung steht auf dem Parkplatz des Flughafens zur Verfügung. Mit dem Zug dauert es etwa 2,5 bis 3 Stunden.
Sie können sich leicht zu Fuß oder mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln fortbewegen. Lagos hat einen Bahnhof (für Fahrten in Richtung Faro, Lissabon und Porto) und einen Busbahnhof (für Busse in Richtung Westseite der Südküste), aber beachten Sie bitte, dass Busse und Züge nur wenige Male am Tag fahren. Sie können sich auch ohne Auto fortbewegen, denn es gibt zahlreiche Taxis und Ubers, aber wenn Sie die Umgebung von Lagos wirklich erkunden wollen, wird ein (Miet-)Auto Ihr Leben um einiges einfacher machen. In der Umgebung gibt es sowohl gebührenpflichtige als auch kostenlose Straßenparkplätze.

Unterkunft hat uns gut gefallen, wie auf den Bildern. Küche ist zwar eher klein, aber alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist top, alles wichtige direkt um die Ecke und innerhalb von 5 min ist man im Stadtzentrum. Ein kostenloser Parkplatz ist auch nur 5 min zu Fuß entfernt.

We had a wonderful stay in Lagos at this apartment. The space is perfect for two people, beautifully renovated with a fully-equipped kitchen and a lovely balcony. Top location: the center of Lagos, beach, supermarkets, and bus station are all within walking distance. We had a very postive communication with the host with detailed instructions, quick replies, and flexible check-in time.

Modernes, sauberes Appartement, wenn man allerdings auf den Hausflur bzw Fahrstuhl gegangen ist, wurde man in der zeit 40 bis 50 Jahre in die Vergangenheit versetzt. Man muss sich auch bewusst sein, dass in einem Appartement die gesamte Zeit nicht gereinigt wird, keine Betten gemacht werden, und dass man mit der Erstausstattung auskommen muss ( 2 Rollen Toilettenpapier). War eine Erfahrung, aber wir werden nicht noch einmal Urlaub in einem Appartement machen. No comment

This well-located studio apartment is modern, clean, and features a comfortable bed. However, it may not be suitable for those sensitive to cold, particularly in winter. My stay in February revealed that the building lacks heating, leading to a cold and damp atmosphere. The heating unit in the studio is ineffective. I notified the agency but no one showed up. The heating remote doesn’t coincide with the heating unit. It appears to be programmed to maintain a maximum temperature of 24C. Additionally, cold air seeps in from the hallway, further compromising comfort. Be aware that the provided cleaning and hygiene supplies are minimal, offering only enough for about 1 week for one person. IMO, this studio is best suited for guests who plan to spend most of their days out, using the space primarily for sleeping and showering.

The apartment is bright and sunny and well located within the city and close to the bus station. The balcony was great and facing the marina (albeit on a busy street). Carolina greeted us and let us in the apartment in person. We were given minimal soap and paper supplies and had to buy our own. Not ideal as we are traveling very light on our 4 week excursion. Note that there is no microwave, no dishwasher, no bread knife. As others, we experienced a bad odour once in while. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

To clarify, we provide two small welcome packages for our guests: one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen, which include essential items to get you started. As the apartment is a holiday rental and not a hotel, anything beyond these initial supplies is for guests to purchase, as mentioned in our listing.
Regarding the amenities, it’s true that a microwave and dishwasher were not listed in the advertisement, so these are not part of the apartment’s features. However, there is a stove, fridge, and toaster available for guests to use, and many of our visitors prefer exploring the nearby restaurants within walking distance, which we’re always happy to recommend.
We also took immediate action after your review and purchased a bread knife, though we believed the other four sharp knives provided would be sufficient. We always appreciate suggestions that help us improve the apartment for future guests.

Erg tevreden! Locatie was tegenover de haven, wat een mooi uitzicht gaf. Naar het centrum van Lagos was het ongeveer 5/10 min lopen. De host was erg aardig en reageerde gelijk! De riolering in het gebouw had regelmatig een heftige geur, wat ook in de badkamer van het appartement te ruiken was. De eigenaresse kwam gelijk om de geur te laten verminderen, wat heel fijn was! Een hele goede ervaring dus!

Ce problème survient très rarement, surtout en été, et malheureusement, ma collègue vous a donné des options de résolution incorrectes car elle n’était pas informée de la façon de le régler rapidement. Nous travaillons actuellement en étroite collaboration avec le condominium pour trouver une solution définitive à ce problème.
Cela dit, nous pensons qu'une note de 3 étoiles pour quelques jours avec une odeur désagréable provenant d’un drain ne reflète pas la valeur et le standard de notre propriété. Nous nous efforçons toujours de maintenir un haut niveau de confort et de qualité, et nous espérons que vous avez tout de même apprécié le reste de votre séjour.

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung wie zuhause gefühlt. Es war schön sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht inkl. Küchenausstattung. Der Balkon mit Aussicht auf die Marina war toll. Die Strände und auch die Altstadt waren schnell zu Fuss erreichbar. Auf Nachfrage war auch ein früherer Check-In möglich, was ein grosser Pluspunkt war. Ich würde definitiv wieder dort hin gehen. Ich empfehle es jedem weiter!

Rental Valley war sehr hilfsbereit und antwortete immer sehr schnell auf meine Nachrichten. Wir hatten ein paar Probleme mit dem Rollladen, am nächsten Tag kam direkt ein Handwerker, so dass wir wenigstens wieder Tageslicht hatten. Die Unterkunft hat eine gute Lage und sieht wirklich sehr schön aus.

Great apartment, situated across the road from the water. Easy walk to the old town or the marina. Has good amenities and a very comfortable bed. Good-sized TV for watching movies in the evenings if you feel like a night in. We were on the 2nd floor, but there is a lift so easy access. there is free parking behind the building, but not at the front, as we found out the hard way while we were unloading bags - but it was only a small fine (EUR6.50) and easily paid online. We really enjoyed our stay here and would happily return in the future.

Vi boede 8 dage i lejligheden. Den levede op til forventningerne. Carolina tog i mod os. Planen var, at vi først skulle ankomme til lejligheden kl. 20, men vi ankom allerede kl. 19. Jeg havde forventet, at vi skulle stå og vente den time, men Carolina var så fleksibel, at hun kom den time før 👌🏻 Så dejligt.
Der var ikke er tørrestativ i lejligheden. Skrev til Rental Valley, at de evt. kunne overveje at anskaffe et tørrestativ på et tidspunkt. De skrev med det samme, at de vil sørge for, at der kom et tørrestativ. Så dagen efter afleverede Carolina et tørrestativ. Det var virkelig god service
Der er en stor vej lige udenfor lejligheden, så der er stort set altid trafikstøj. Vi kunne dog sagtens sove for det. Men beliggenheden af lejligheden er virkelig god i forhold til, at du er tæt på alt.

The apartment looks like on the pictures, freshly renovated, nice kitchen and equipment as well as the bed. Unfortunately the pictures don’t show that the apartment is directly in front of a super noisy main road, also during the night it was to loud to sleep without ear plugs. The most annoying part was the horrible smell from the bathroom. Without closing the bathroom door the whole apartment smells like drain. I would not recommend. Having an AirBnb is not just quickly renovating an old flat and earning easy money, it’s about caring of the real living area aspects! Not worth the trip.

It was surprising to learn about the issues you mentioned, especially as we can assure you that these problems are not typical of our property. Additionally, you did not report the bathroom odour to us during your stay; otherwise, we would have promptly sent someone to address it.
Our listing clearly states that the Marina area, which includes restaurants, bars with live music, and a large supermarket, is nearby. On Airbnb, a map is displayed before booking that shows the apartment's location on the main road N125. However, the newly renovated accommodation features double-glazed windows, which effectively block out any noise. The owner invested in these upgrades to ensure the comfort of our guests. We truly care about each guest and want to make sure everyone who stays at this accommodation feels at home and has a good time. We are sorry this wasn't the case for you but as mentioned before we don't think that this was caused by any problem at our studio, rather by wrong expectations from your side.
