The neighborhood
The Marina area is about 5 minutes away and has all you need, including restaurants, bars with live music and supermarkets.
Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical centre full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs, and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical centre, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast, you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area.
Getting around
You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours.
Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier.

This condo was an excellent choice for us. Right in the middle of everything, across from the marina, 15 min walk to historic downtown and the beaches. Lots of restaurants (try Munich) and coffee shops. The property itself looks just like the photos and our host personally greeted us and showed us the condo. Very nice touch. I would highly recommend this property for your stay in Lagos (and not to miss the small boat tour of the grottos).

Nagyon tiszta, szép, rendezett lakás, modern bútorokkal. Csodás terasz, jó méretű fürdőszobák. A környék is nagyon szép, a kikötői sétány néhány perc, a belvárosi rész is nagyon hangulatos. A partig is könnyű elsétálni. Ugyanakkor boltok, éttermek is vannak, szuper reggeliző a Favo a közelben!

horrible experiencia. el día que salíamos se nos coló en el apartamento la limpiadora con su equipo, le pedimos por favor 5 minutos para sacar nuestras cosas, empezó a gritarme que yo me tenía q haber ido hacia 5 minutos. ni 10 minutos de cortesía nos dejó para sacar las cosas. yo tenía mi bolso en el salón y ella empezó a limpiar todo diciendo que a las 12 entraban huéspedes, cuando a mí me dijeron para entrar yo a las 15:00, se supone q los siguientes también entraban a las 15:00 y no a las 12 como ella decía. me gritó que yo no tenía razón y fue muy desagradable. jamás volvería a reservar con esta empresa q tiene este equipo de limpieza tan desagradable y que hicieron allanamiento de morada. horrible experiencia. sentí mi intimidad violada con esa señora gritándome cuando yo no había ni terminado de recoger mis objetos personales.

Very nice and new apartment in a great complex in a good location.
However, there were a few items that need to be improved upon. We found that the blanket in the primary bedroom had a noticeable stain, some towels were stained, the kitchen sink wasn’t cleaned fully, and there was some hairs on the floor as well.
Beach or Pool towels weren’t provided but we noticed the rest of the complex guests had blue towels possibly from another mgmt company. Indoor pool and sauna weren’t available for use either. Air conditioning was a bit loud in the primary bedroom. 2nd washroom’s fan was also loud.

Spacious, spotless, modern apartment (almost better than the photos), fitted out with everything you could need. Very close to the marina and a short walk from the old town. Lots of supermarkets close by. Added bonus of the use of the outdoor and indoor pools. Check-in was easy and host was friendly and responsive. As mentioned on other reviews, aircon doesn't seem to work as expected, but it wasn't too much of a problem for us, as it was not that hot. Will definitely stay here again on future visits to Lagos.

While the view is of a parking lot, the apartment is new, pristine and very high quality. It is walkable to all the restaurants and the grocery store; we did not need a car for that. The beds and pillows were comfortable but it would be nice if there were extra pillows. Showers, hot water in the apartment are great. Coffee machine, pots, pans, microwave all worked great too. We had to buy soap as there wasn't any, and there was no recycling in the apartment so we carried it to the recycling on the street outside. Great place, would recommend.

Worst location you can get in Lagos because it's close to a small river / canal so the smell from the drains in the facilities is so disgusting that you cannot open the windows neither at night nor during the day. It was not possible to have a breakfast smelling all this fecal waters and faeces. Nobody told us before we've booked the apartment. During a 11 days stay the smell was present at least 8 days. It's not the fault of the owner or rental valley but they are obliged to tell this very important fact to their guests in advance. We will never again rent this place. Apart from that the location and the apartment were really excellent.

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances dans ce logement. Le logement est exactement comme sur les photos , pas de mauvaises surprises. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine extérieure et les nombreux équipements du logement. Carolina notre contact à été très réactive à nos demandes.
Points forts: le logement est quasiment neuf et propre, la piscine privée est très appréciable. Nous avons également apprécié trouver des produits de première nécessité avec une bouteille de vin blanc pétillant. Ce qui serait génial serait d’ajouter à ces produits du café et des filtres à café.
Points « faibles » : en réalité il n’y en a quasiment pas mais si je devrais en citer je dirais qu’il serait appréciable d’avoir une poubelle de salle de bain dans les salles de bain et que la brosse WC soit changée entre chaque clients car dans notre cas elle n’était pas propre. Il y a une forte odeur venant du port mais ça c’est normal car le port est juste à côté. La vue parking n’est pas géniale/

Whatever I write about this apartment would not be enough to express how happy we are from our stay in this rental. It is a wonderful place, excellently maintained, new, bright, spacious with a huge terrace and with all necessary amenities, cutlery and facilities. The mattresses are super comfi and makes you feel like sleeping on a cloud and we had wonderfully soft towels. The whole communication process with Rental valley was more than perfect - fast, professional responses and a very warm and friendly team who gave us useful advices during our stay. We regreded we didn't book more days. the property has a perfect location, close to the center, to the super market Pingo Doce and within walking distance of all attractions and beaches. We would come back again and I would definitely recommend it to anyone 🔝🔝🔝
Some small recommendations :) (really very small):
The only thing that was missing in the apartment and would be helpful to have is instruction how to use the stove. It took us a while and some YouTube videos to find out how to increase the temperature on the plates and not on the ventilator ;)

I would recommend the addresses of the appartment and keybox to be given not only as coordinates but also as name e.g. Ideal Homes Portugal - Lagos or name of a shop, because when you order taxi/Uber, the coordinates cannot be found by the app and cannot be located by the driver (we used the phone to navigate the taxi and put as approximate location for the Uber driver - the Marina)
Some small recommendations :) (really very small):
The only thing that was missing in the apartment and would be helpful to have is instruction how to use the stove. It took us a while and some YouTube videos to find out how to increase the temperature on the plates and not on the ventilator ;)

Die Unterkunft an sich war super sauber und sehr schön groß. Es hat an nichts gefehlt in der Unterkunft.
Das einzige Problem war der Check-In. Wir haben 1 Stunde damit verbracht das Türschloss zu finden. Der Kontakt mit Rental Valley war in Ordnung, jedoch sind wir an einem Sonntag angereist und die Kommunikation hat sich etwas hingezogen.
Wir haben an der Unterkunft das Türschloss gesucht, wie es auf der Anweisung stand. Bis sich dann herausstellte, und Rental Valley nach ca. 1 Std. mitteilte, dass sich das Schloss mit dem enthaltenen Schlüssel nicht an der Unterkunft befindet sondern im Büro, das ca 5 min mit dem Auto entfernt war.

Great location, clean, not impressed with rental company, unresponsive to text in regards to elevator door broken from the inside when stopping on the first floor, had to go to second floor and walk downstairs, ( also happened when agent was taking us to apartment), also door to patio had broken hinge which was extremely unsafe, unfortunately was not impressed

The apartment is well located, brand new and beautiful. It’s spacious and very comfortable. It also comes with parking which is very convenient.
However, be prepared to bring your own body wash as they do not provide it as an essential amenity, which was a little odd.
Overall, the apartment was absolutely beautiful but lacked a few essentials, particularly in the bathrooms.

This place was a lot more spacious than we thought. It felt like being in a modern beach house with top-notch amenities. we were greeted at check-in, and the host was always available to answer any questions throughout our stay. kitchen was extremely well equipped and the entire place was light-filled and airy.
The view wasn't the greatest as it was overlooking a parking lot, but it didn't bother us at all since it was unobstructed. we had an underground parking spot, which was very convenient considering finding parking close by can be difficult in most tourist spots.
we definitely recommend this host and this place and would return here if we were back in Lagos.

Gorgeous, very clean and a comfortable place with a great location, near the marina, restaurants, grocery store, and the old town. The kitchen was very well equipped and the place has its own parking space. Highly recommend.
