The neighborhood
Portimão is a lively and historic beach town. You can find several gorgeous beaches, bars, restaurants and shops, and Portuguese folklore in the small streets of the old town in abundance. When you're done relaxing in the sun, you can choose from many activities in the area, like watersports, boating, hiking (mountain biking), and golfing, at one of the many golf resorts in the area. There is a modern shopping center available as well. The apartment is 40min away from the Faro airport
If you want to stay local there is a pastelaria and local restaurant within walking distance of the apartment. The famous beach of Praia da Rocha is a short 10 minute drive away and the quaint old town is also just a short drive from the apartment.
You have the very popular Slide and Splash park just a 15-minute drive away in Lagoa. Zoomarine is also easily accessible just a 30 minute drive away.
Getting around
There is public transport available in the area and all around the Algarve. But bus and trains do not go very often and a (rental) car is recommended

Overall our stay was very good. The apartment is conveniently located near the beach and within walking distance to Pria do Rocha area with all the shops and restaurants. The apartment itself is well put together and comfortable. However, there was an infestation of ants in the apartment! They were everywhere you look. Had a few unpleasant experiences with them being on the sofa and in the kitchen. I hate to ding the host on this but that definitely needs to be addressed. But we still liked the place and would consider staying there again.

Perfect location for a day at the beach! We stayed as a family of 5 and couldn’t have asked for better location and space.
Overall this stay was a 10/10, our entire family loved our 4 days in this space and would stay again
Location - 10 minute walk to picturesque beaches and central to lots of restaurants and supermarkets
Bedrooms - The bedrooms were very well kept and equipped. It felt like we were in a hotel. It was lovely to return to a relaxing space after a day in the sun

It's a nice place to stay: proximity to the beach/restaurants at walkable distance, safe building, the apartment is clean, amenities (toilet paper, shampoo, body wash) are provided, big balcony to relax. We left a beach parasol for the next guest.
Two things that could be improved: - It's noisy at night. We were woken up every night by loud motors. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. - The place is advertised as with a garage (one of the reason we chose this place), but we never got access to it during our 6 nights stay because the key fob was not working. We contacted the host and the answer was that it's out of their control because the building management changed something. They were responsive, but unhelpful with this issue, we had to ask AirBnB to step in, after which the issue was resolved.

La situación del apartamento es buena, cerca de la playa y algunos bares y restaurantes típicos de la zona. Algunas cosas a mejorar: Demasiadas alfombras, vajilla escasa y entorno bastante ruidoso por la cercanía con una calle principal sin limitación de velocidad. Se valora positivamente el espacio, los baños, habitaciones y la terraza que se agradece. La limpieza inicial no muy a fondo, y los utensilios de limpieza del apartamento son muy incomodos de utilizar. El hecho de que la urbanización tenga piscina también es positivo para el apartamento. We had a lovely three night stay at the place! The hosts were extremely responsive and super helpful. The place was a little dusty when we arrived but the hosts offered to send the cleaning staff over and this was sorted promptly! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Schönes Apartment fußläufig zum Strand. Zwei Punkte, die uns negativ aufgefallen sind: relativ laute Straße, die gern von getunten Motorrädern genutzt wird. Und zu wenig Geschirr, damit man nicht nach jedem Essen die Spülmaschine anstellen muss.

Our stay at Casa Três Castelos was extremely enjoyable. Dids not need a car as everything needed was within easy walking distance. The local small supermarkets are very friendly and the phone app cab services, especially Bolt and Uber, were inexpensive and always available. The cost of between 3 - 5 euros to the main supermarkets is great value. If from the UK, there is a supermarket 'The Food Company' located in the Portimão Retail Centre which stock all the home favorites. The nearby beach is spectacular, clean and safe. Would have no hesitation in booking another stay at Casa Três Castelos!

Tout était très bien. La propreté, le confort des lieux, u e cuisine bien équipée ainsi que la terrasse dépassaient mes attentes.De plus, la proximité des restos et des praia a très appréciés. J'y retournerai sûrement un jour. Petite remarque seulement : le pommeau de douche aurait besoin d'ajustement dans la deuxième salle de bain. Puis, la porte d'accès à la cuisine ne se verrouille pas.

El apartamento ha superado nuestras expectativas. Igual que en las fotos, todo nuevo, limpio, cocina con electrodomésticos modernos, cafetera expreso, tostadora, lavavajillas, lavadora, tenía todos los complementos para pasar unos días, plancha, tabla de planchar. colchones cómodos, bañera hidromasaje, un buen salón, kit de primeros auxilios y sobre todo una buena terraza. Buena ubicación, cerca del paseo marítimo con bares, restaurante...en fin...volvería a repetir este lugar....muy muy recomendable

Magnifique appartement, propre et beau avec une belle terrasse. Mon fils a apprécié la taille de la télé 😅. Très bien équipée, Clim centrale appréciée. Par contre, nous avons réclamé la réparation du rideau de la chambre des enfants: aucune suite n’a été effectuée à notre réclamation: réponse lente et sans suite. Bref pas grave contenu du reste.

Apartamento bem localizado, lugar coberto de garagem. Como ponto negativo, o estore de um dos quartos encontrava-se danificado e totalmente aberto pelo que condicionou a nossa estadia pela falta de privacidade e de acordar bastante cedo. Após a primeira noite, solicitámos a reparação, nunca foi feito.

Nous sommes ravis par notre sejour (hélas bref) dans ce bel appartement bien situé. Le propriétaire a été très aimable et réactif en répondant à nos questions et demandes. Nous y reviendrons probablement et recommandons certainement ce logement :)
