The space

Algarve Sun Apartment is a 94m² apartment on the seventh floor of a ten-storey building in Portimão, reached by lift. Sleeps 5, sleeps max 6.

Just inside the front door, the kitchen sits on the left and the living room on the right. The living room opens onto a covered, north-east facing balcony, a kind of glassed-in wintergarden that catches the morning sun.

A hallway runs straight ahead from the entrance. On the right, the first bathroom has a bath, a shower and a toilet, next to the main bedroom with a 140cm double bed and a generous desk area. Across the hallway, the second bathroom has a shower and a toilet, next to the two remaining bedrooms. Both have two single beds pushed together, ready to split into twins on request. Two fans are available in place of air conditioning.

Open the balcony doors in the morning and let the Portimão light in.

The neighborhood

Portimão's old town and harbour are around a 10-minute walk away, with cafés, restaurants and the riverside promenade. The beach is roughly 15 to 20 minutes on foot, depending on the route you take.

A public swimming pool is close to the apartment and stays open through the winter, a good option on cooler days when the sea is less inviting.

Getting around

A car is not essential here: the building sits within walking distance of the old town, harbour and beach. Street parking nearby is free, though not guaranteed directly outside the building. Faro Airport is the nearest airport.
